Flashback to what happened with Night and the feral...
Night felt a pang in his chest at seeing Raven look so scared despite being a warrior. Even if she had trained her life to handle threats like these, facing a feral face to face was terrifying. These beasts were known to attack, kill and even take in the Anima by force. Even the most well trained guards ended up critically injured, and to this day Night could not forget the injuries.
The huge dragon let out a roar as it knocked down a tree, making Raven let out a yelp. At that moment, for what seemed like the first time in his life, he felt something in him snap. The Night Fury skidded to a stop and turned to face the quickly approaching feral, leaving the others to keep running. His teeth bared as he let out a low snarl, showing no fear anymore. "I'm sorry, Raven..." Night's markings began to glow, forcing his body to undergo a big change.
His claws began to get much sharper, and his paws grew to compensate for the newly large and deadly claws. His tail began to glow as bright green stripes made themselves present, making it look like a strange zebra until one took a closer look. The back paws changed and grew a thick layer of fur, huge claws protruding through the fur. Even his wings changed, for not only have they gotten much bigger, but they also grew paws at where the joints began. His head changed too, for his large ear nubs grew quills, even some growing on the front of his eyebrows. On his mouth a pair of large saber tusks poked out, and his eyes were no longer the friendly round ones, but rather the deadly sharp gaze. Other than all that, he grew fur on his back, which wrapped around his neck like a mane.
The feral snarled and snorted, releasing a hiss at its opponent. Night, now a Nefarium being equal in strength, stood against the Stormcutter. The quad-winged dragon stood on its legs and roared at the Nefarium, who growled for a moment. "I have to do this... to protect you..." he roared back at the beast, not caring for the weight of his newly flattened and soaked fur.
The beast launched at Night, attempting to pin him down with all its strength. The Nefarium growled and yowled as he kicked the Stormcutter off, then he swiped a massive paw across its face. The dragon yelped and growled, wincing at its fresh scars while glaring at Night. The Stormcutter seemed to know that this was nothing like it encountered before, and so it prepared for a fight. The dragon stomped its paws on the ground, its tail swishing back and forth. Fire ignited from its throat, threatening to fire at any moment. Night snarled and slammed his tail on the ground, breaking through a fallen log. His claws dug into the ground and his own plasma lighting up.
As another lighting bolt struck at the sky the two massive dragons clashed, creating a cloud of rage and anger. Only their snarls and snaps were heard over the pouring rain, and neither of them gave up. The Stormcutter snapped its jaws onto Night's shoulder, earning a yowl from the Nefarium. The black and white dragon growled through clenched teeth and snapped at the feral's wing, tearing through the membrane. He then pulled the dragon off and onto some trees, making them fall over from the force. Night hissed and pounced on the dragon, slamming his paws onto its chest. Audible cracks were heard and the feral coughed up blood, but regardless it still fought for its life.
The Stormcutter kicked at Night's stomach to try and get him off, but it was no use as Night had now clamped his jaws around its neck, sharp teeth threatening to bite through it like a stick of celery. He let out a rumbling growl, telling the dragon to submit or it would be killed. For a moment the dragon was silent, breathing deep and seemingly scared. The Nefarium softened his grip, teeth no longer pressing against skin. "They're scared of me..." he thought, his grip on the feral loosening. Night then sighed and relaxed his muscles, looking away from the dragon.
Seeing this as an opportunity, the Stormcutter successfully kicked Night off. He landed on the ground with a yelp, in which the feral pounced on him like he did to it. Now in the place of the feral dragon, Night tried to kick and claw at the dragon to get it off of him. It was in vain, for he now felt sharp teeth on his throat. "Quite the karma." he snorted, digging his claws into the dragon's neck, drawing blood which trickled down his paws along with the falling rain. His neck was then jerked slightly to the side, and the feral was snarling and kept pulling at Night's neck. It was trying to snap his neck to kill him.
Night hissed, now feeling his muscles burning with adrenaline. He again kicked at the feral's stomach, this time making sure to slice at the tender area of the stomach with his claws. The feral didn't let go, however, and tried to bite down into the neck. Night then reached up and dug his claws into its eye, forcing it to let go with a yowl. The Nefarium took this chance to gain the upperpaw, delivering a hit to the dragon's jaw. The Stormcutter stumbled backwards, tripping on a raised root. Night then grabbed its neck and slammed its head onto a nearby boulder, creating an audible crack.
The feral flinched for a moment before going limp, in which Night let go of it hesitantly. He panted as he stepped off of the dragon, keeping an eye on it in case it was alive. Night lowly growled and poked it on the side, but the dragon didn't move. After a while he let out a sigh of relief, then he grabbed the dead dragon and dragged it to a nearby pit and dropped it in. "Other ferals will deal with it." he murmured, walking away as smaller feral dragons swooped in on the dead Stormcutter and began to pick at it. Night walked through the woods, stopping underneath a massive tree to shelter from the still pouring rain.
With his head resting on his paws, he had a lot of thoughts rushing through his mind. "I have to go back to them." was one of them, but then he looked at his body with a whine. "But... I'm a Nefarium, apparently... a beast known to show no mercy to the innocents." he bitterly grumbled, curling in and covering his head with his huge wings.
"I'll have to figure out a way to transform back to my Night Fury form... but if I can't, well..." he sighed, closing his eyes to rest. "Guess I'll test my luck with Argon.."
