Months had passed, and the greens of the outside world had turned barren and covered with a thick blanket of cold snow. It was as if the Subzero Empire had casted their magic onto the rest of the continent, mainly due to how much snow there was and the cold winds.

Right now the group was all relaxing in the Hall of the Elders, which stood strong despite all the years that passed by. In the main room next to a fireplace, the group laid nearby while the princes tried to impress Dark by demonstrating their strength. They did so by trying to pull a chest full of their armor, but of course it had hilarious results.

The Sun prince strided in first, keeping his head up high while he passed by Dark. He didn't say anything as he glanced at her, pausing in front of her. He then walked off to the chest, glancing at Dark again before grabbing the chest handle and pulling. The chest didn't move and the room's silence was then broken by grunting and growling, which came from the Sun prince. He struggled to pull the chest and tried with all his might, but the extremely heavy chest never moved.

The other princes laughed at his failed attempts to pull the chest, and then the Fire prince stepped towards Dark with a smirk. "That spark for brains cannot even pull that mere chest. I'll show you who the strongest is, princess~" he then strided to the chest, pushing the bright prince aside and grabbing the handle. He then began to pull, but just like the Sun prince, he too struggled to make the chest move. Shaking his head, the Ocean prince walked up to Dark with a calm yet confident look. "I'll for sure move that chest, unlike ash for brains there." he then tried as well, but failed to move the chest, if not doing a worse job than the Fire prince.

Then it was the Earth prince's job, but it seemed like he just enjoyed pulling such a heavy object for fun rather than to impress Dark. Bonnie then huffed as the Earth prince walked off while panting with a happy smile, and stood up to go to the chest. "Watch this, sisters." he stated then trotted to the princes and bowed. "May I help, your majesties?" he suggested, in which the Fire prince nodded. Bonnie then moved behind the chest and began to push it while the red Direwolf pulled, but it barely moved more than an inch.

Night also went over to help, standing beside Bonnie, but even so the chest just never moved. The Forest prince then gave it a shot, but also struggled to pull it. In the end, the princes thanked the dragons for their attempted help and tried to pull the chest themselves. Bonnie and Night walked back to the group, then rubbing their heads where they pushed the chest. Ryko laughed at his brother, then turned to Raven. "Hey, sis. Why don't you give it a try? You're basically so strong!" then Cottonfur agreed, her little tail wagging. "Yeah! You're super strong, biggest sis!" Raven chuckled and shook her head, looking up at Argon. "Nah. It's best if we don't show our strength just yet. We should wait for the right moment." She stated, in which the larger hybrid nodded.

Cottonfur pouted, but understood. Raven wanted to save hers and Argon's strength for last. Ryko then turned to Argon, his smile growing. "Hey soldier, wanna show them how strong you are?" he asked, in which the large male turned to Dark. The Dire-fury nodded in approval, and then the gryphon-dragon got up and walked to the chest. With a wing he easily pushed the princes aside, and he got into position.

Before the princes could even process what he was doing, Argon pushed the chest with one swift move of his head. The chest slid across the floor until it hit the wall, coming to a stop with a thud. He then walked off, snorting at the princes as they stared at him with bewilderment, processing his strength. Argon then turned to Raven as he laid back down, a smirk growing. "Why don't you try it then, commander?" he suggested, in which Raven laughed a bit and turned to her sister, who, like with Argon, nodded in approval. Raven then got up and walked to the chest, all while the princes looked puzzled. "This is a joke, right?" asked the Sun prince, but was quickly silenced by the Ocean prince. "Quiet! She's a Hell Fury! Let's just stand back." he suggested, in which the princes did.

The female then walked to the chest, pausing for a moment. After what seemed like forever Raven grabbed the handle and picked up the chest, lifting it with ease. The princes all stood there shocked as the hybrid walked to them, showing no signs of any struggle. Raven then lowered the chest, stared at the princes for a moment before walking off like nothing. She then laid down next to her sister, being complimented by Argon who laughed at the princes' expressions.

In the other room, Torga was with the kings. They were discussing matters regarding the tournament for Dark's paw, but something that Torga said didn't make the kings quite happy. "So let me get this straight.." the Sun king started, a frown on his face. "You're saying that our sons cannot use their elements?" Torga shook her head, frowning at the king. "I'm afraid that's final. I have spoken to the royal dragons about the competition, and have decided that by not using their magic it will be a fair competition. Remember this as well, that not everything you say is for her." She then continued on, smiling as she felt something in the wind. "The competition is based not on who wins, but based on if they can follow the rules. Until you decide, I along with her guard will have to keep your sons from participating."

The Sun king sighed, but nodded. The other kings then nodded, and Torga then waved her staff. The door magically opened to reveal two large white Direwolves. They were both pure white like the snow outside, their claws huge and always unsheathed which helped to travel through the great ice caps. Their white coats were so long and soft looking that they could be mistaken for polar bears, which seemed like it was ideal to protect them from the bitter cold.

The king's eyes were an icy blue, unlike his son's whose were brown. Although Dark hadn't said anything about them as she noticed something different in terms of rings, or in their case bracelets. Instead of wearing rings on their ears, the two Ice Direwolves wore bracelets on their respective wrist, which made sense seeing as rings would not be seen with all that fur. The prince had a calm smile, his tail down yet slowly swishing from side to side. His father was also calm, and as soon as he walked in he greeted Torga, the guards, and the kings. The prince stayed in the main room with the group and the other princes while his father went to stand by the other kings.

Torga smiled and turned to glance at each member in the room. "The Ice king and prince have arrived, and they had quite the journey to come here and are tired. We shall allow them to rest and then we can prepare for the tournament." she announced, then each king went off to their respective room to rest. The Fire prince rolled his eyes at the Ice prince, who was sitting and talking to the Forest prince. "Tch, he's most likely here to outdo my looks. He won't succeed, though, for I will always be the best looking here for the princess!"

Bonnie rolled his eyes, flopping onto his side. "Who cares if his fur looks good or not? I don't really care if the Ice prince outdoes their looks, but if he's going to be as self centered as the others I do not want him anywhere near Dark." Night agreed, and so did Tarjo and Argon. Raven only hummed, knowing it was Dark's choice on who she picks to be her mate, but she still would keep her safe from anyone, that includes the princes if they ever crossed the line.
