A few hours had passed, and it still hadn't stopped raining. The group was visibly stressed from this, but even so they knew that continuing now could be dangerous as the Dire-hybrids could get soaked and sick. Not only that, but any creature could sneak up on them and hurt Dark. With this happening, it was best to stay put and wait the rain out, although something would force them to keep moving much sooner.

Night grumbled as he stood, poking his head out of the hollow and looking around. He then let out a chuff, turning to the group. Dark had her tail curled around the sleeping pup while Argon had his around her, leaving the siblings and deer loafed next to them. "I'm gonna go hunt something for us, but I may just look for berries if I can't find anything." he said, turning and running out of the hollow. Zarsh laid his head on the ground, closing his eyes as he was tired. "Wake me up when he returns, k?" "Alright." Bonnie leaned his head on the wall, staring at the curtain of rain. It was somewhat hypnotizing to watch, and he couldn't find himself to look away.

Raven crawled up to the entrance, laying next to it to stand guard. While she knew Argon could easily handle a threat, he was very limited to movement at the moment. Even he knew that one wrong move and their shelter could fall, leaving them exposed to the elements and evil creatures.

Another hour later the rain still poured, and it seemed eternal. As of now when the group once thought of it as a relaxing white noise they could fall asleep to, it was now filled with annoyance and wishes that it would end. Although Dark wasn't bothered, for she had fallen asleep as well. Argon refused to sleep, keeping an eye out and being ready to defend.

Night then returned with fish and many berry branches in mouth, leaving them in front of Raven so he could shake the water off. "I got us food." he turned to Raven who grumbled and poked at the fish. "I know you don't like fish, but there isn't much else to find out in the rain. And I know berries aren't going to be enough to keep your energy up." the male worriedly whined, nuzzling the female. Raven sighed, sitting to the side with the others to let Night cook the fish.

Once it was cooked it was time to eat, and so they did. Zarsh ate the Direberries while the others are the fish, in which Raven was hesitant of at first. She took a bite and grimaced at the flavor, but regardless she ate as she needed the energy to continue and to fight off any threats.

As soon as they finished eating, they settled down to camp for the night which had approached. Raven and Night took turns to keep watch, of course leaving the others to sleep. As before, the night would be long. But unlike the others, this one would be quite different, and not in a good way.

Midnight...

The group slept soundly, with Night currently taking the night-shift. He looked around through the rain curtain for any signs of suspicious movement, his throat burning with plasma ready to fire and his claws ready to strike. His green and blue eyes sharp as they stared at the darkness beyond, only being illuminated every once in a while by lightling.

He shifted on the spot, flexing his paws as he did. Night sighed, his eyes struggling to stay open, although he fought back against closing them as he could not afford to lose his friends or Raven. The male looked back at her, his tail slightly curled around her body. Night would do anything to keep her and her family safe, and that was a promise he would keep.

He got cut out of his thoughts when a loud roar was heard, causing him to be on edge. At first he assumed it was just the thunder above, but his instincts told him that something would happen. "Raven." he gently nudged the hybrid awake, earning a yawn from her. "Mmmhp... is it my turn now?" she slurred, sitting up and stretching. Night shook his head as he stood, glancing at the entrance. "Not quite, but I heard something outside. I need you to keep guard while I investigate." he turned around to the entrance, glancing back at Raven. "I'll come back quick if anything happens, ok?" the female nodded, and with that he was gone.

She whined as she looked out at the pouring rain, worry flowing through her for Night. Raven shifted on her paws, letting out a breath every once in a while. She glanced at Dark and the pup, worrying for them. Who knows what Night heard out there, but it seemed serious as he told her to keep watch. Raven then snorted and looked back to the downpour. "It must have been the thunder..." she thought, her tail swishing slowly. Dragons have sensitive hearing, so he might have mistaken it for something else like a roar.

"Yeah! It's just thunder. Hopefully he realizes it and comes back so he can rest." she smiled to herself, then thought back a bit. "Hang on... we did go down the right way, right?" Raven hummed and tried to recall the map of Terraforma and its paths. "We did go down the Boggus Hills and the Murk River, and we stumbled across the Marsh village." She then drew the swamp claws on the dirt below, scanning it for a moment.

"Yeah... we went dow this way." she began, tracing on where they had gone. Raven's claw then slowed to a pause as it got down to the claw paths. "Wait... isn't this.... and we went down?!" "Oh no..." Raven whined then shook Argon awake first. "Argon! Get up now!" The male grumbled, staring at her with a sleepy glance. "Wha‐" "We need to leave right now!! We are not safe here!" she then thwacked the other two males. "Bonnie! Zarsh! Get up!" "Ow!" Bonnie hissed as he rubbed his shoulder. "What's the-" "Dark wake up and get the pup inside the basket and get on Argon!" The large hybrid grunted at her, stopping her from continuing. "Raven what-"

Night stumbled into the hollow, hissing in pain as he limped to them and began to try to shove them out. His left arm had a huge gash that bled continously, but it didn't bother the male as he glanced at the group. "MOVE IT!! WE'RE NOT SAFE HERE!!" he then snarled at himself, ear nubs pinning against his head. "Why did I have to choose this path?! If I had known we wouldn't be in this situation..." "NIGHT!!" Argon yelled, glancing at the panicking Dark before glaring at the Night Fury. "What the hell is going on?!" Night then whined as he hissed at him to leave the hollow, in which he hastily roared an answer. "WE'RE IN FERAL TERRITORY!!"

Just then a massive Stormcutter knocked the tree down, causing the Dire-hybrids to yelp in panic. The large dragon roared at them, but Argon roared back and spread his wings to show dominance, and as a sign of "step down". Unfortunately the feral dragon didn't give up easily and slashed at him, only missing his horns by an inch as he ducked. "RUN!!" he yelled, not wanting to risk Dark or the pup's lives to fight the beast off.

They weaved and dodged every root, rock, and fallen log that stood in their way. The adrenaline burned through their veins, completely numbing the burning and aching feeling in their legs. Another roar was heard, causing Argon to speed up his pace. The feral Stormcutter was chasing them. Night panted as he glanced back and then to the others, his heart aching at Raven's terrified expression. She was indeed a warrior, but that didn't mean that she couldn't be overpowered by a feral.

They kept running through the woods, not caring for the heavy downpour as their main priority was leaving the feral territory. Argon turned to the left, glancing at the heavy foilage and leaping to it, his wings flapping and taking him to the claw. Bonnie leaped after, and then Raven followed as soon as she grabbed Zarsh.

It was a short but long flight to the claw across, in which they landed safely and were covered by the trees above, shielding the group from the huge amount of rain pouring down. Argon turned to the group, checking them for injuries and whatnot. "Is everyone here?! Dark are you hurt?!" "I-I'm alright, Argon..." Raven looked behind her, then all around. She then began to whine with worry, which had Bonnie put a wing on her. "R-Raven what's wrong?" he asked, in which she turned to her brother.

"Night is not here..."
