Chapter 5

“Ah ha found it,” he says excitedly “Here you are these can be helpful,” he says coming out with a pair of crutches “Oh. Wow, thank you Jay” I grab them from him and slowly stand up, but fall back down on the bed “Ah” I whimper “I'm sorry. I think they're too tall for me” I say and he nods and fixes them to my height “There you are now you can use my bathroom it's right there” he hands me the crutches again. I come out of the bathroom and see Jay on his phone.

“Come on love everyone is here already” he puts his phone away and looks at me. “Um…Okay” I nod softly “We can do this tomorrow if you'd like” he approaches me, “No it's good to know who is going to be here with me….But c…could I have some pants, please….I don't like people looking at my scars ” I smile softly. “Okay I can do that” he goes in the drawer and gives me a pair of shorts I put them on and they are very baggy on me so I tie them tightly.

“Come on” he opens the door for me “Just follow me slowly,” he says and starts walking down the hall and I follow him as fast as I can. “Come on love or would you like me to carry you,” he says slowing down “No I can manage,” I say catching up with him, “ Jay is that you” I hear a deep voice say “Yeah Rico it's me” Jay calls back putting his hand on my lower back.

I walk out and I see five people and I immediately recognize one.  “DANI,” I say overly excited, forgetting that I need the crutches I drop them and try going to her.
“Woah” I fall but Jay grabs me “Dont be so careless you could've got hurt or worse” he scolds me “I'm sorry I just got excited can you help me out please,” I ask motioning to Dani.

“Okay…just don't be so careless” he sighs and walks me over to Dani “Come here you” She grabs me and I lean against her “Do you have any idea how worried I was I thought they finally got you and when Jay told me what happened I was so close to beating those guys to a bloody pulp, but what he did was better” she growls. “Hey. I'm okay you know it takes more than two guys to keep me down…wait what did he do” I look at her,  “Um…we'll talk later” she whispers, “Alright Jay go ahead” she clears her throat.

“Okay…this is Rico he is my right hand, you'll mainly see me and him together” Jay places his hand on a guy who is the same height as him and has green eyes and a scar across his eye, short black curly hair. I wave meekly “This is Dye he is the doctor he's the one that patched you up and is an actual genius” I look at the guy who is about my height and maybe mid-twenties he has hazel eyes and bandages all over his arms he has short blue hair that is slicked back. “Thank you for patching me up” I smile “It's no problem I'll be by later to change some bandages on you” he nods.

“And you, of course, you know my best sniper,” he says motioning to Dani I smile and nod “And right next to you is my informant for pretty much everything Detective Henry Devo” I look up at him and realize he's a couple of inches taller than Jay, he has short brown hair and dark brown eyes that are staring into mine. “Woah you’re really big, No!..uhh…I.. I mean tall..n..not big” I stumble out. “Yes doll I am tall and big” he winks and gives a throaty chuckle and my face turns red.

“Yeah yeah, enough of that” Jay waves his hand in front of us “And this is Jessy she is also a fighter and trainer” I look at the girl who has blonde hair and big boobs that are obviously fake along with a fake ass and she's looking at me ugly, “Issue. Jessy” Dani says glaring at her “Not at all it’s nice meeting you,” she says looking annoyed giving me a fake smile.

“She's just his fuck buddy” Dani whispers in my ear  “Oh makes sense” I whisper back making her chuckle “Everyone this is…..” he looks at me questioning. “My name is Zealand Zara Rose, you can call me anything but Zealand, I’m fine with nicknames” I chuckle nervously. “Why can't we just call you by your name,” Jessy asks rolling her eyes “Because it's the name of my brother that died in the womb and I was named it because my parents wanted him instead of me so the name pisses me off every time I hear it,” I say with a straight face.

“Mmm…I just think it's weird that you don't go by your name” she says puckering her lips for some reason. “Oh, do you?” I ask mockingly “Okay we’re gonna go before someone opens their bitch ass mouth again,” Dani says glaring at Jessy “What the fuck did you just call me” she snarls as me and Dani start walking away, “She called you a bitch ass” I say looking at her over my shoulder and she is fuming.“Ah, I'm so fucking glad you're here” Dani chuckles as we walk in the hallway. “You know I am glad I'm here too” I smile softly

“Come on we'll go to your room mine is upstairs and I don't think you're ready for that yet” she smiles softly “Yeah you’re right. Oh, do you know who changed me” I ask and she chuckles. “That was me. At first, all of the boys wanted to do it but I made sure none of them were in the room while I was changing you” she rubs my back. “so are they all like that” I ask, “what with the flirty antics” she ask and I nod, “Eh it's mainly Henry and Jay” she shrugs.
