“Oh please don't cry” he leans down next to the bed, “I'm sorry…I…I don't like this feeling” I grip my chest, “I'm sorry…*Hic* I shouldn't have left you the way I did…I…I *Hic* I just didn't want anyone to worry anymore but I know that I made a mistake…*Hic* I never want to go back…” I am pulled and my face is buried into Jay's chest.
“Shhh don't cry... It's okay” I feel him sitting on the bed, I feel myself calming down, he's so warm and always smells so good, I hold onto him scared to let go. “Would you like me to tell you what happened?” he asks pulling back, I grab his hand and nod.
Jay's POV (Flashback)
“She seemed okay…she immediately went to her brother,” Henry says leaning in his seat, “I don't know if that's relieving or not” I sigh. “It's a good thing Jay…I think” Henry sighs we both sit in silence looking out the diner window, “Hey Jay can I ask you something,” he says leaning forward “What's up,” I ask “Why did you take Zara” he asks.
“When I first laid eyes on her I just wanted to protect her she had bruises all over her. I wanted to know her to see her smile to have her know that she was safe as long as she had me by her side” I lay my head on the table “Damn. Man, you really fell hard…I'm sorry for what happened…between me and her” he murmurs “No. It was my fault as well. Plus you became a horny bastard whenever she came in the room so I guess it was best for you and her to get it out” I say shaking my head.
“But...If I ever get her back...I want her to be mine and just mine I won't share her with you guys,” I say looking at him “I totally understand that and I hope you are both happy,” he says with a genuine smile. *RING RING RING* Henry pulls out his phone but shakes his head and pulls out his work phone, he pauses for a second and I see his eyes widen, *RING RING RING* “Get up we got to go!” He quickly gets up throwing some money down on the table.
“W..What why” I ask getting up, “It's Zara that's the burner I had for her for emergencies” he says turning off the alarm, “What do you mean?! Is she in danger” I ask and he nods, “I just sent you the address” he says and gets in his car, I jump in my car and quickly take off, I pull up her address and slam on the gas. The sun is going to set soon, damn it! I shouldn't have let her go “FUCK!” I shout I can feel my heart thumping out of my chest, as I grip the steering wheel. If they hurt her I will fucking kill them and anyone who stands in my way!
*SCREECH* I don't bother turning off the car, I jump out of the car and bang on the door, “OPEN THE DOOR” I shout. “Jay!” Henry runs up to me, “POLICE OPEN THE DOOR” Henry yells and waits for a second, “Alright back up” he kicks the door open and I see an old man walking down the stairs “What is the meaning of this!” He shouts. I charge at him and grab him, “Where is she!” I shout shaking him and he looks terrified, “W..Who” he trembles.
“Hold on let him go” Henry pulls him apart from me. “What is the meaning of this!” I see a woman run downstairs, “My patience is running thin…” I pull out my gun and point it at her. “Where is your daughter!” I shout “Oh my gosh she's upstairs please take her don't hurt us” She cowers, “Ugh you disgust me” I growl and run upstairs, I try to open the door but it's locked. I kick the door *Bang Bang* the door gets thrown open and see her on the floor pills in her hands.
I didn't even realize that my fingers were in her mouth until she grabbed my arm, I wanted her throw up so.i continued until she did it, I remember grabbing her and then next time I looked at her she fainted. “HENRY!” I scoop her up, and rush downstairs, “Zara!” Henry rushes over to me when he sees her unconscious.
“She just fainted…she tried to take a bunch of pills,” I say and he grabs the father, “Unless you want this to be all over the news then you better forget about what happened here,” Henry says gripping him tightly. “Let's go, I know a doctor close by,” he says and we leave I put her in the car and follow Henry.
Zara’s POV
“When we made sure you were stable we moved you to the next house…just in case” he sighs and looks at me, “I…” he closes his eyes. “I…was scared…the thought of losing you terrified me” I can feel him trembling, I gently place my hands on his face, “You saved me…I never want to lose you” I whisper, i see him take a deep breath when he opens his eyes they're watery and on the verge of crying.
He kisses me gently, “I will always protect you” he whispers i wrap my arms around him holding him closely. “I was scared too…don't leave me,” I say and he pulls back, “You're gonna have to beat the shit out of me if you ever want me to leave” he chuckles and moves my hair out of my face. “You look tired still, get some sleep I'll be here” he gets up and moves the chair next to the bed, “What time is it,” I ask, he pulls out his phone and smiles.
He shows me the screen it's of me in front of the computer the day I was gathering information on Anderson, “Oh my gosh Jay! That is such a horrible picture of me” I laugh. “What no it's not, it's my favorite” he smiles at the phone, “No…I can not allow this come here” I pull him over to me.
