Afterward, we moved to his room so we could shower, now we're both in his bed, he's sleeping so peacefully and I don't want to wake him up so I just look at him…I wonder why he always falls asleep with me. I am freezing, I'll just go grab my blanket from my room, I step into my dark room and close the door “I started thinking you were never going to come in your room” I hear someone say and I look around confused. Then I see someone sitting in the corner of my room “Wh…who are you” I say backing up, switching the light on “There's no need to fret I am not here to harm you” he says getting up putting his hands up. “I am-”
“You're Steven Smith,” I say remembering his face from the computer. “Why were you looking for me” he asks “It's not you I was looking for but you are connected to him,” I say looking away from him “Hmm... listen kid I'm here to get you out of here,” he says and I look at him surprised “Who sent you” I ask “I was hired by a Mr. and Mrs. Rose" he says and I feel more shocked “Apparently you've been gone for a couple of weeks which let me tell you finding you was no easy task” he chuckles.
“What happens to them” I ask pointing at my door “Well I kill them all of course” he shrugs “No.” I growl “You don't lay a fucking finger on any of them. I will go with you under these conditions you don't harm any of the people in this house say you found me walking the side of the road” I say and he tilts his head. “Why do you care for these people,” he asks “Listen the only reason I am agreeing to go back is for my brother otherwise I would've given you away the second you said you were here to get me out,” I say and he nods.
“Okay….fine you have my word that I won't hurt any of them but my friend is going to make a diversion,” he says and I nod.“Are you ready to go now” he asks “Almost let me just do something,” I say grabbing a piece of paper and a pen, “What are you writing,” he asks getting closer. “I am writing something for the guy I am leaving behind,” I say showing him the paper “Damn kid….you know…I…I-”
“No. Don't say that you could cancel…it's best this way” I sigh folding the paper and placing it on the bed. “Okay, I'm ready” I take a deep breath. He nods and sends a text, then gets by the door. *BOOM* A big bang comes from outside, and then you can hear rapid footsteps running around, “Okay kid stay with me” he says and then throws the door open. I follow closely behind him as he stops at the corner of the hall and then grabs my hand pulling me along we start to run we make it to the door and he throws the door open and we run out.
We continue running and running until I see a little red car “COME ON” another guy yells from the driver's seat. I don't believe my eyes, it's Anderson, we rush and before the door is even closed he slams on the gas and we're off I look behind me and see a small figure trying to chase after the car. I close my eyes and look forward, and tears run down my face again, I keep trying to wipe them away. I look down so they can't see me and I see two knives on the floor.
“Hey Kid…would you like something to drink” he asks handing me a water bottle, “Thank you,” I say grabbing it. I look at Anderson who keeps shifting his eyes to me then the road, I look at the water bottle and open it that's when I notice Steven is watching me too. “Oh No… not again” I hold my stomach “Stop stop the car…I'm gonna-” I push my hand against my mouth catching their attention, Anderson immediately stops the car and I jump out scooping up a knife.
“What do you really want with me” I ask once I'm away from the car, I see Anderson chuckle and then get out of the car, “You're a real smart girl so how about you tell me what you think” he asks leaning against the top of the car. “I'm not sure but one thing is clear you were trying to drug me” I back up still on guard. “Okay you got us on that one….do you know who I am” he asks. “Which version” I ask “Hmm well I only have one version of me, that I'm aware of,” Anderson says, I see Steven getting ready to get out of the car.
“You're wrong. There are two versions of you. Does Steven not know” I ask and I see a bit of anger in his eyes. “What do you know” he growls “I know the one version you're talking about but I also know the other version...your original version,” I say and I see Steven looking confused “Wow I'm surprised you never told the people you work with” I chuckle “Tyler what is she talking about” Steven asks. “Yeah…Anderson what am I talking about” I say and then Steven looks at me and Anderson starts moving towards me.
“Before you come over here do you know who I am” I ask and he stops. “Should I know who you are?” he asks “Eh not really to most people I am just the kidnapped daughter of the mayor but I guess to you I'm Theo's sister” I say and Anderson slowly looks at Steven “You didn't think to mention that she's Oliver's sister” he growls.
“What about you. You didn't think to mention that you apparently have another life” Steven asks getting out of the car. “It's not important,” Anderson says and now they are both arguing, I take that opportunity to run, “FUCK SHE'S GETTING AWAY” I hear one of them yell but I don't stop I make it to the forest and quickly run into it.
