Music sounds better with you

You're so possessive

Nick meets him a few hours later once they're both done for the day, and his face lights up when he sees him in a way that makes Charlie feel weak at the knees. He stumbles over to him and pulls him into his arms in front of all two hundred students leaving the music block, like they've been separated a lot longer than four hours.
"Hi," Charlie breathes, tethering his arms around Nick's neck as Nick winds his arms around his middle and lifts him off his feet. "Oh my god."
"Hi," Nick says as he sets him back down. "You look beautiful."

Charlie feels himself blush a deep crimson, pleased and embarrassed all at once. "Shut up."
"You do," Nick insists, sliding their hands together and taking a step back so he can look him up and down, his smile getting wider by the second. "I love it. It's one of the ones you ordered from ASOS, isn't it?"

"It sure is." Charlie finds himself standing a little taller, prouder, as Nick beams at him. "Thank you. I'm so glad you like it."

"Of course," Nick tells him. "Do you wanna go and get a drink? Let's show you off to campus a little bit more, yeah?"

"You're so possessive," Charlie hums, but he tugs Nick along behind him anyway. He knows Nick's words hold more weight than just simple flirting, and even if his mum isn't here to see the two fingers they're both metaphorically holding up to her, he appreciates Nick more than he'll ever understand. "Love you."

"Love you too," Nick replies, kissing Charlie's hand before holding it tightly as they walk towards one of the campus bars.

Later that night, the shirt ends up discarded on Nick's bedroom floor. It might be Charlie's new favourite shirt, but he can't say he minds too much.
