A week later.
Chris opens his eyes and blinks a couple of times in attempt to wake himself up. The first thing he notices is that McKayla isn't next to him. Chris jolts up, afraid McKayla might be sick again. The cancer and chemo affects often made her throw up.
"Kayla?!" Chris calls.
McKayla walks out of the bathroom; fully dressed and makeup on, adjusting her wig.
"Yeah?" She asks.
Chris blinks, "Oh." He states.
McKayla raises an eyebrow at him. She walks over and sits on his lap, straddling him.
"Over-worrying again, are we?"
"I can't help it. You worry me." Chris says.
McKayla giggles, "Oh, so it's all my fault?"
"Yup." Chris says before quickly kissing her, "What are you doing up so early, baby?"
"It's noon."
"Oh. Well, where are you going?"
"The girls and my mother and I are going to go search for dresses."
"That should be interesting."
"Tell me about it. I need to find dresses really soon and it would just make my life so much easier if I could find them today. I need bridesmaid's dresses and I would prefer a dress for me that can cover my port scars and - "
"Kayla. It's April 23rd. You've got an entire month to find a dress and then we can get married and everything will be perfect." He says before kissing her again, "You just...need...to relax..." He says in between kisses.
"Mmm...Well maybe you can help me relax more this afternoon. Give me a massage when I get back?"
"Absolutely." Chris says before kissing her again, "Did you eat anything?"
McKayla rolls her eyes, "Yes, Mom." She deadpans.
"Okay, okay, just making sure."
"My appetite is slowly starting to come back; slowly but surely. My hair too."
"Good, babe. I wanna grow mine out more to. It's still sort of still in the awkward growing stage though."
"You wanna talk about awkward growing stage? Remind me to show you what's under this wig when I come home."
The doorbell rings.
"That's my cue. I'll see you in a couple hours."
"Have fun." Chris says before kissing her again.
McKayla smiles, then crawls off of Chris' lap. She grabs her things, then walks out. Once she's out of view, Chris quickly gets out of bed and goes to the bedroom doorway. He peeks his head out and watches McKayla as she slowly descends the stairs. Once he knows she's down safely, Chris walks off to shower.

McKayla walks out and greets Sophie, "Hi."
"Hi, honey. You ready to go?"
"Yep." McKayla says. They go to Sophie's car.
"Are you sure you're up for this today? How are you feeling?" Sophie asks.
"I'm feeling okay, I promise."
"Did you eat anything?"
McKayla rolls her eyes, "Yes, Chris." She says, sarcastically, "I just want to find my damn dress and be done."
