Chapter 11

"What if your sister doesn't like me?" Drew asked looking very nervous while adjusting his shirt in the mirror.  It was now a month since they started dating and Bailey finally set up a night out for Caitlin to be able to meet him.

"It will be fine babe she's not scary. She will probably pull some older sister trying to be tough attitude, but just be you and there is nothing she won't like." Bailey said giving him a kiss, "Now lets go or we will be late!"

Bailey and Drew walked inside the restaurant hand in hand. They were all grabbing drinks at the rooftop bar before getting some food.  Caitlin and Katie had already showed up and grabbed a seat for them. 

"Hey sis, Hi Katie! Caitlin this is Drew."

"Hi Caitlin really nice to finally meet you good to see you too Katie, been a while."

After all the formalities had been made and the few minutes of awkward silence had finally passed the conversation started to flow as Drew became more comfortable with three girls. Caitlin was observing more than conversing for a while. She noticed Bailey's body language and how comfortable she was with Drew. She noticed how Drew would take glances over at her every time she laughed and saw the shimmer in his eyes. She saw how he would put his hand over her shoulder or how she would touch his hand or thigh to encourage him to keep the conversation going and help his nervousness. But most importantly, she noticed how happy both them were and that's what mattered most to her. 

Caitlin finally snapped out of her trance when a conversation about Australia started.

"I heard you 3 are going to Australia in a few weeks, that will be fun!" 

"Yeah we are, Bailey didn't invite you too? Thought she would with how often you guys are together." Katie joked

"We talked about it actually," Bailey butted in, "but decided to wait until next year after we've been together for a bit longer." Really she told him it was because she wanted it to be all about Caitlin and Katie and wanted to be there for whatever Caitlin needed from her, but she wasn't going to admit that to Katie.

"Ooh so I am the special one then yeah?" 

"Very special Darlin." Caitlin finally said giving her a kiss on her cheek

"So what are you three going to be doing while there?"

Caitlin noticeably tensed up, so Bailey tried to step in and help, "Well probably going to visit old friends and show Katie where we grew up."

"That'll be really nice," Drew added, but after noticing Caitlin being awkward and Katie giving her a weird look he offered to go get another round of drinks for all of them. 

"Yeah I'm going to go to the bathroom, Katie added in after she couldn't get Caitlin to look back at her. 

Once both of them were gone Bailey threw a napkin at Caitlin, "stop being so freakin awkward!! What is wrong with you?"

"I don't want to blow the surprise!"

"What you think you're randomly going to blurt out that you're proposing?"

"I don't know! I'm so nervous its all I can think about she's the love of my life I don't want to blow it."

"Yeah well after your New Years argument and being awkward she knows you're hiding something, so freaking pull it together."

Drew then returned with their drinks and Caitlin quickly changed the subject asking Drew a bunch of questions to get to know him better. She seemed normal again and quickly grabbed Katie's hand as soon as she sat back down. After asking both Katie and Drew about growing up in Dublin the conversation soon went back to being completely normal and Bailey gave her an encouraging nod.  

After dinner they finally all headed home, Bailey hugging her sister on the way out and whispering, "its only 3 weeks you can make it, just show her how much you love her until then and stop being so awkward."

Caitlin in return gave her sister a tighter squeeze to acknowledge she heard what she said and then turned to Drew, "It was lovely to meet you tonight. I know my sister is really happy with you right now, keep that up and we won't have a problem."

Drew took a big nervous gulp and smiled nervously while Bailey just rolled her eyes and grabbed his hand to leave.

Later that night, Caitlin took Bailey's advice, maybe a little too literally, and showed Katie just how much she loved her... for hours. 

Short chapter :/ But the next ones will be about the trip to Australia!
