"B..b..b..BOSS! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" Legion screeched in complete terror, eyes aquiver.

''A final test for Arthur to overcome,'' Solomon stated, seemingly unbothered by the whole situation.

"Holy hell, now THIS is overcompensation!" Crowley cackled.

"My Nun, if Lucifer has resorted to that, not even the spectators are safe." Thoth realized worriedly.

In the stands, several of Lucifer's followers witnessed their leader unleashing a power not seen in an uncountable number of years — a pure, angelic force descended upon the arena for the first time in eons. Like a shining star, a guide to the heavens, the warmth of the world.

"O King of Kings! Hosanna to you!" Metatron yelled, unshed tears glittering in his eyes.

"Please show that wretched sinner mercy." Prayed Gabriel with a passionless tone, yet highlights of admiration shone in his breathlessness.

"I thought Our Lord had abandoned such mercilessness eons ago," Samael muttered, in both awe and fear.

"This human must be pushing Lucifer to the limits if he's having to pull this out." Ereshkigal murmured, her fist under her chin, looking down at the fight. "I wonder how much more that human king has in store for us."

"So the asshole is going all out! Now this shit's getting interesting!" Moros grinned, before shifting his gaze to the human king, near the throes of his deathbed, "He ain't even trembling! Let us see, little human, how much more can you impress us before your death?!"

"...Such a strong presence!" Percival, a tall and muscular knight of the round table, said with wide eyes.

"...Merlin." A shiver ran down Morgan's spine. "...What is that?"

The wizard gulped. "I don't know... something beyond anyone's understanding...right now, the only thing we can do...is believe in Arthur!"

With the king of men, he looked forward, completely focused on Lucifer's new form. Bael manifested right next to him with a slightly panicked face. Shadows could barely find its place with the looming foe, as if the light of humanity was but a wisp of flame next to this daunting adversity. Arthur grit his teeth.

"Human, be careful. That thing is h-"

"I understand perfectly, m'lady." Arthur said, his smile gone and his voice becoming serious for the first time since the round started. "He has risen to a completely different level of strength. Call it a warrior's instinct, but I've never felt such a dangerous aura in my life."

"... Do you have a plan?" Bael asked, looking forward.

"Hahahah!" Arthur chuckled, his smile returning. "No not really, but you needn't worry, 'tis a knight's duty to protect a lovely lady such as thou!"

"..." Bael shook her head. "I shouldn't have asked..."

And Lucifer? He hovered slightly over the arena, wings outstretched in their full glory. Even his hair and eyes seemed to shine, a truly spectacular sight to behold.

''Hehe, but honestly this glow is just too much," Arthur laughed, making a grievous mistake— he blinked. What made his eyelids instantly widen was pain —bursting pain. The burning touch of Morningstar piercing his chest and seemingly melting his insides. No, this pain cannot be mistaken..! It's...

"Arthur is being destroyed..." Thoth said in horror, "down to his very cells!"
Lucifer raised his free arm again, staring blankly in Arthur's eyes, a move that Pendragon already knew too well. Not paying any attention to the injury, he swung his trusted sword at the Seraphim while trying to grab his arm, but before either his hand or blade could reach Lucifer - he disappeared - but what appeared is yet again, pain. The heat flowing from the blade seeped and began to melt the surrounding tissue, an oozing mess of flesh and blood clotting together and corroding.
