The crowd arose to their feet in awe at the burning stake, a smoldering blaze of crimson flares burnt themselves into their retina. Those in the front rows of the stands felt the radiating heat emanating from Jeanne's position, dumbstruck faces gazed down as the untouched grass scorched itself into a dark, ashen black.

Many had simply assumed that the stake was only a basic pillar of wood, a memento to represent her faith despite the tragic demise she was dealt. The sight of a holy saint wielding the very flames that brought about her end was completely unexpected. Yet despite the cruel flickering of fire that forked its lecherous tongues towards her, Jeanne stood resolute in her faith, and once the hands of fire touched her skin, they recoiled in fear at the purity of the holy maiden.

"Hot hot hot hot hot hot hot! Put me out, put me out, put me out!" Barbatos cried out in shock as she danced around behind Jeanne as if to try and put out the fire, suddenly stopping as she came to a key conclusion. "Wait... it doesn't burn? I'm on fire yet it doesn't burn. Truly my magnanimous power is far superior to that of simple flames. As should have been expected of course." She then looked over at the unflinching saint, whose flames danced across her pearlescent skin. "How are you not burning, human? I'm not due to my power being astronomically greater than yours. But you're just a pathetic human who needs to borrow my strength to fight another, frankly more pathetic, human. Humans, you need not explain, the answer is obvious. My power is great enough for the two of us to be protected from these flames without harm. You can thank me later of course for such a gracious gift of strength I have so willingly given you."

'Willingly? It certainly didn't seem that way when we first met.' Jeanne thought to herself. "Do not worry yourself demon, I do not require any of your strength to withstand this. In life, I suffered inhuman wrath far worse than this, but through the guidance of the Lord, I shall pull through and complete my purpose."

"Again about your stupid delusions. Just hurry up and kill that human now so I don't have to deal with your annoying ramblings.' Barbatos sighed as she softly shook her head.

"Look at those flames!" Legion exclaims in excitement. "They look so pretty, and also so deadly!"

"My my~ Seems that girl down there has more up her sleeve than I thought," Cleopatra commented from next to Solomon, her eyes locked on Jeanne as a grin spread across her face. "Was this a part of your plan Solomon, or was it just a happy accident?"

The teasing tone of Cleopatra's question struck a nerve with the demon who stood at Solomon's right side. "This is not your place to question his majesty, nor do you have the right to. Learn your place, you harlot."

"Stand down Bael," Solomon stated, his command immediately stopping any argument that may have started. "And to answer your question, Cleopatra, I did not know the essence of this delusional woman's ability... But make no mistake, I do not leave anything to mere chance, I was certain that there did exist a power hidden deep inside her soul, one that manifested during her life, most likely at the end of it. This is precisely why she never utilized and why I have chosen Barbatos to fight alongside her, she allowed Jeanne to awaken and wield these flames. I suppose their origin comes from those annoyingly strong beliefs of hers, they shall only burn brighter the more she persists... Shall her conviction wane, the flames will be extinguished." Demon King declared, as his attention returned towards the arena. "Sullying her pitiful faith to fight for what she believes in, wielding the burning stake she died on while defending those who brought her this suffering, how comical," He muttered, amused by the irony of the situation.

"So those flames are her own? Well, well, she continues to intrigue me more and more, this French saint." Cleopatra mused.

"So hot..." Sun Wukong fanned his face with his free hand as he felt the heat of Jeanne's flames. "This reminds me of Red Boy's fire..."
