''Well then, soy boy, shall we begin?'' Wu Zetian proclaimed, a feral grin present on her face. Both representatives had entered the Japanese-styled castle, meters from one another, knowing fully that only one of them would leave it alive. Tsukuyomi only stared impassively at the Empress' attempt at taunting him before taking a deep breath, his hand at the sheath hanging on his waist and readying for Wu's opening move.
The Empress of China pouted at his reaction, "Tch, you are one hell of a boring fucker, you know that?!"
"That little vixen still has the guts to seethe right under her opponent's nose, does she?" A middle-aged man's hand came down, and a group of burly men ran forward, unloading a large slab of stone on their shoulders– and unsuccessfully throwing it near the castle where the two fighters held their grand showdown. He wore an ostentatious garment, befitting of an Emperor, and sat leisurely in a pavilion. A makeshift throne was underneath his heavy robes, but his face was anything but pleasant.
"Stop this madness, you old fool," a more youthful voice suddenly cuts in.
The man who was sitting on the throne - Emperor Taizong, the late husband of Wu Zetian - sneered at that familiar voice. "Li Zhi! What is the meaning of this?!"
A handsome man waltzed into the pavilion, invading the emperor's space readily. A hint of regret laced into his voice. "Father... It's been a long while."
Emperor Taizong spat on his son's shoes, face mired with hatred. All watched with shock as the man berated his son angrily: "Leave. No son of mine is like you. A weak ruler and a failure of a son... A man – no – a boy like you deserves death!" He yelled, causing the heads of many spectators around them to turn. Despite that, Li Zhi - or more well known as Emperor Gaozong - shook his head, not at all bothered.
His father continued, "To marry my concubine... the teachings of Confucius would allow me to lop off your head right this instant!"
"Now now, calm yourselves!" A confident voice silenced the rest of the Emperors. A man wearing an intricate bare-shouldered robe and a blindfold over his eyes rested in their stunned gazes. The Emperor Where it All Began, Qin Shi Huang looked towards their representative. "Moumantai! That Empress might be a bit troublesome, but she still is one of us, a ruler of China and one deserving of our support!" Qin demanded before taking a sip of his drink.
"...You...YOU ARE QIN SHI HUANG!?" Taizong asked, shocked, and Qin simply nodded.
"The legendary King Where it All Began..." His son muttered with a quiet voice, before both the son and the father immediately bowed down before Qin.
