Evangeline

I was woken up to the sound of a hammer hitting the side of the house, I slowly got out of bed and headed downstairs.

Kelsey: good morning Evangeline, how did you sleep?

Evangeline: I slept good until someone started hammering something to the side of the house.

Kelsey: that must be Riley, he said he was going to finish fixing the house when he got a chance.

Evangeline: okay, so I will cook breakfast and go wake Gage up.

Kelsey: go ahead and wake him up. I will make breakfast.

Evangeline: okay...

I headed outside and walked to the guest house but didn't see him anywhere so I decided to head back but was stopped when I heard the sound of a guitar being played from the barn and decided to see who it was when I seen him sitting in one of the empty stalls while he played the guitar...

Evangeline: I didn't realize you played the guitar...

Gage: I haven't played since I was sixteen...

Evangeline: do you have a favorite song you play?

Gage: yeah but I don't think I should play it considering where we are...

I sat down across from him and listened to him play a few more times before my mom let us know that breakfast was ready...

Evangeline: we should go inside and eat before she comes looking for us.

I walked beside him as we headed to the house and sat down to eat.

Kelsey: good morning Gage...

Gage: good morning...

Riley: I was aware that you were inviting the neighbors kids over for breakfast.

Kelsey: I would think you'd remember your childhood friend Riley...

Riley: what?

Kelsey: this is my daughter, Evangeline...

Riley: I should have known, I haven't seen you since before you left this place...

Evangeline: yeah well, things happen that causes us to make quick decisions...

Riley: it's good to see you made a new friend...

Evangeline: I wouldn't exactly say we were friends...

Gage: we're not friends...

Riley: so boyfriend...?

Evangeline: no, acquaintances actually...

Riley: so you're still single?

Evangeline: yeah...

Riley: great!

After we finished eating breakfast, Riley finished with what he was doing along with a few other things while I hung out with Gage and showed him around while we took the horses for a ride...

Gage: so your friend seems kinda weird...

Evangeline: he can be weird but he is a nice guy...
