Evangeline

It happened while I was alone. I was cooking dinner when I felt it hit me, I quickly turned the stove off then called the emergency center. I was sitting in the hospital room when I heard him talking to the doctor about me before he walked into the room and seen me crying.

Gage: is it true...?

Evangeline: I'm afraid so...

Matt: the doctor called me and we come as quickly as we could, are you okay buttercup...?

I sniffled after I looked down at my hands and felt a few tears land in the center of them, I wasn't sure how to tell them that I had lost the child I had been carrying but I had sense that they already knew about it.

Evangeline: I...

Kelsey: it's going to be okay sweetpea...

I felt Gage pull close to him and I laid my head on his shoulder while I softly cried...

Matt: come on honey, let's give them some privacy...

I watched as my parents left the room so we could talk alone...

Gage: we will get through this together.

Evangeline: I'm so sorry baby...

Gage: you didn't do anything wrong Angel, we can always try again...

Evangeline: I love you...

Gage: I love you too, please don't cry...

I felt him gently wipe my eyes before he kissed me and I heard the doctor clear his throat then handed me a few papers along with giving me a few pills that would help with what was happening to me before I headed back to my parent's house, I immediately went to the guest house with Gage and crawled into bed with him as he held me close.

I cried myself to sleep but he continued to hold me throughout the night. I knew he had to be hurting just as much even though he didn't show it, I had crawled out of bed after he moved his arm and I headed to the bathroom so I could take one of the pills the doctor prescribed for me and got back in the bed beside him.

I could see the sun coming up as I stared out the window, I tried falling asleep again and decided not to move unless it was to use the bathroom. I felt Gage sit up before he got out of bed and check on me...

Gage: how are you feeling Angel...?

Evangeline: I feel like shit and I don't want to do anything but lay here...

Gage: can I make you something to eat babe...?

Evangeline: I'm not hungry...

Gage: okay...

I felt him gently kiss my forehead before he walked outside. I knew he was probably going to work on his bike some more and I knew it was probably his way of dealing with the pain he was feeling, I was still laying in bed when I seen Brantley walk through the door along with my brother...

Brantley: hey Evie, we heard what happened and decided to come see you. How are you feeling...?

Evangeline: I feel like shit...

I felt him wrap his arms around me and I immediately started crying again after I buried my face against his shoulder...

Brantley: I'm here for you Evie...

I placed my hands on the back of his shoulder while he continued holding me...

Dustin: we both hate knowing what happened Eva but you can always try again if you two decide to stay together...

After they left, we decided to head back to our home. I hugged mom and dad then we left, I knew that things would be different when we got there but we could try again if he wanted to, I remembered what he said before about not being ready to be a father so I decided not to mention trying again when we got back home.
