Evangeline

After learning of Gage's new role that his father had for him, I found myself standing in his father's house while they talked alone in a nearby room. I was sitting in the courtyard while I watched Sierra playing with a few kids that also lived here.

I wasn't sure what was going on but I seen a few of the guys quickly run out of the building and I was rushed to a private room after being told to keep the kids safe. I made sure all three of them were here when I heard the sounds of gunshots along with people shouting just outside of where we were hiding

I became worried about Gage after the sounds stopped immediately, I made the kids stay where they were while I slowly opened the door and seen a few of the men standing around. One of them had come over and opened the door then let us know that it was safe once again but we had been taken to a different location.

After we got to another place I looked for Gage but didn't find him and it wasn't until I spoke with his father that I found out that Gage had been taken hostage by the guys who helped attack the place we just left from.

Leo: don't worry my dear, my guys will find him and bring him home.

Evangeline: what's going to happen to him?

Leo: I don't know but I promise he'll be fine.

I wanted to believe him but I couldn't help but notice how worried he looked before he walked away from me, I watched as Sierra and another young boy hugged each other before she walked over to me.

Sierra: Ms. Evangeline, I'm hungry...

Evangeline: we will find you something, come on...

After she got something to eat, I took her to a room so she could get some sleep and I did the same thing or at least tried to but I couldn't sleep knowing that Gage wasn't here which made me worry about him.

*two weeks later*

I was helping a few of the women with dinner when I heard that familiar voice say my name, I stopped what I was doing and seen him standing in the door way and noticed how he looked. He had been beaten up along with having cuts and bruises on different parts of his body along with having a cast on his arm. The women told me to spend time with him which is what I did.

Evangeline: I'm so glad that you're back.

Gage: I know you had been worried about me...

Evangeline: of course I was, you're my boy- you mean the world to me...

Gage: you don't have to be afraid to say the word angel... you're my girl remember?

Evangeline: I remember but we didn't exactly ask each out either...

We found a place to talk in along with getting some rest, I felt him place his arm around me as I slid closer to him and felt him gently kiss my neck. I heard him let out a deep breath before he said anything else to me.

Gage: will you be my girlfriend Angel?

Evangeline: yes, will you be my boyfriend?

Gage: yeah...

I placed my lips on his and felt him kiss me back while he had his hand on my waist. I tried to be gentle since he had been hurt and he knew that I didn't want to cause him any more pain that he was already feeling.
