Evangeline
Several months passed since I had been rescued from my kidnappers and Gage had been watching me more closely than before and I couldn't help but notice that he had become more possessive of what he cared about. I had become his main priority while I continued taking care of Sierra.
Sierra: Ms. Evangeline, why does my brother watch you so much?
Evangeline: he is just being a good friend...
Sierra: it scares me...
Evangeline: you don't have anything to be scared of, he's just making sure we're safe...
I looked over at him and noticed the way he was watching me and even though I wouldn't admit it, I was just a little scared, not cause he watching me closely but because of how much I needed him. I hadn't realized it sooner but I fell madly in love with him and some days it felt like a dream, the once stubborn angry guy that he once was turned into an over protective teddy bear. I watched as he talked with one of his father's hired help while he occasionally looked at me every other minute just to make sure I was okay and he noticed that I had been looking at him after he focused all his attention back on me.
He started walking towards me before he sat down beside me.
Gage: is something on your mind angel?
Evangeline: nothing important.
I felt him gently rest his hand on mine before looking me in my eyes.
Gage: we can talk in private if you want, she will be fine without you for a few minutes...
I walked with him to our bedroom and I closed the door while I leaned against it as we were kissing each other. I seen him place his hands on the door and look into my eyes again.
Gage: I know that you're still scared but I don't want you being scared of me...
Evangeline: I'm not scared of you...
Gage: than what are you afraid of...?
Evangeline: being this close to you, it terrifies me because I...
I seen him lean towards me and felt his breath on my face while he searched for anything that told him I was okay with him going further than he was now...
Evangeline: Gage I...
Gage: I can't keep fighting the urge to keep my distance from you...
Evangeline: I know.
Gage: can we...?
Evangeline: yes, but be gentle please...
