Friends Again

Everyone was staring out of the classroom windows and trying to see what was going on. Luke couldn't believe that not two, but four adults are being arrested.

He looked over and saw Zander walking towards Jake and could tell that he wasn't going to be nice. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! IF YOU OR YOUR DAMN SISTER WEREN'T SO FUCKING DISRESPECTFUL, OUR MOMS WOULDN'T BE GOING TO JAIL!" Jake looked away and before Willow could go over to him, Luke stopped her.

"Let me handle this," he told her as he walked over, her Sting back and watching. "Zander, leave him alone." The shorter male turned and looked at Luke as if he had three heads.

"But if it wasn't for those two, mine and Mill's moms would still be here!"

Luke sighed and grabbed his shoulder. "But we went to them, and provoked them, first. We started the problem." Zander looked absolutely pissed but let it go. He walked away leaving me with a stunned Jake and Sean.

Luke turned to face the couple. "I wanted to apologize for the way I've been acting. It wasn't very nice and I would like to give you another chance." He could see sparkles in Jake's eyes as he hugged me.

"Thank you," he exclaimed.

"So, the ship has sailed," he said quietly. Sean and Jake looked confused until Luke pointed to them both and crossed his fingers. They blushed and Sean chuckled nervously.

"Are we really that obvious?"

"The only way people wouldn't notice is if they were in denial." They laughed and Jake looked at Luke, hopeful.

"Does this mean we're friends again?"

"Of course, Jake." He smiled and Jake brightly returned it. They looked up to see Willow walk over.

"Jake, dad's here."

"How? I thought he had to go back overseas."

"The trip was cancelled last minute." Jake sighed as Luke watched a tall, blond, man approach them.

"Jake, why didn't you tell us you were going through this." If Luke was good at reading faces, he would say that Jake is questioning life right now.

"I didn't say anything because it's not that big of a deal." The man sighed and walked back to the officers. "I'm gonna get a lecture tonight....YAY!" Luke chuckled at Jake's sarcastic tone. He kinda felt bad for him.

Now that Luke thought about it, today started off bad but was kinda ending on a semi-good note. "I'm glad me and Jake are friends again."
