------------
Sunday morning I got up to the noise of Peaches squealing about something over the phone while in the kitchen. I made myself a bowl of cereal and tried ignoring her, but she would not stop freaking out. What a wonderful way to start off my morning, I got freaking work at one and don't want to hear my sister scream about whatever she's excited about. Must be about some pair of shoes. Peaches does love shoes.

"I can't believe it! He's here in town...I know right?! Maybe my agent is setting us up for a photo shoot, better yet I'm gunna be fashioning his mother's clothing line. She has like the best taste out there!" She was quiet for a moment, "He can't be that hard to find, I mean it's not hard to spot a famous celeb. Like look at me I'm all over the place....wouldn't we make the cutest couple out there? Like, honestly, I can see us already on the magazine covers and national news. Better yet, worldwide papers and magazines!" Peaches finally left the kitchen and went jumping up to her room. I was curious on who this celeb was. Wait, I didn't give a crap about it. I finished my breakfast and went to my room to get ready for work. Peaches went out with friends for the day while mom worked from her laptop.

Work dragged on that day. Sean wasn't here to entertain me and so I was stuck by myself. My other co-workers didn't like me so much. It was around six that things were dead and I was sitting at the counter memorizing the prices of each dish on our menu. I had nothing better to do. The front door rang and I glanced up to see a young guy in a black t-shirt and jeans, along with sunglasses and a camo hat.

Because of the sunglasses and the hat I couldn't see what he looked like, or his possible age. I knew that he couldn't be too old or too young. He actually didn't look so bad, he looked good. Tanned skin, muscles, tall, scruff along the jawline that made him look rough and sexy, and dark, short hair by the looks of it. He had my interest alright, but I doubt I had his. If he was from around here then he knew Peaches. Everyone wanted to be with Peaches.

"Hi, how are you?" I gave him a smile while handing him a menu and he returned the smile. Well that's a start. He caught my interest.

"I'm great," His voice almost made me melt to the sound of it. So deep, husky, and rich. It was that kind of voice that you could listen to all day. His hand reached up and he took of his sunglasses to reveal deep brown eyes and a black, studded, eyebrow piecing on his right eyebrow. I couldn't help but stare a little. "Do you have root beer?"

"Yes."

"Great, I'll get that then." I nodded. He chuckled softly.

"You gotta little drool," He motioned to his lip and my face redden even though I knew he was joking. He smiled brightly. I quickly turned away and went to get his drink. I grabbed the root beer bottle from the fridge, opened the cap, and headed back over to give it to him. He smiled a thanks, before taking a sip. "My name's Dalton," He held out his hand. Not a lot of people would introduce themselves in a small restaurant.

"Cherry," I replied back while shaking his rough hand.

"Pretty name."

"Thank you," I blushed a little. I never received a compliment in a while. It felt good and it brought butterflies to my stomach. He grinned again, "So, what can I get you?"

"Well, I'm feeling fat today. So I was thinking we head right for the sweets. I would love a slice of that chocolate cake right there," He pointed to the triple chocolate cake in the display case and I nodded my head.

"That's heaven right there," I commented.

"I see someone else there too," He winked to me.

I finally hit me that he was flirting. With me! Of all the people, he was flirting with me? I could feel my insides knot up in excitement at the thought of it. My cheeks warm as a shy smile came to my lips. Why was he flirting with me? With his looks and how nice he's being, he could have anyone else in this world. Hell, Peaches would probably pounce on him at first sight. Though I didn't want Peaches to see him. He was being nice to me and that is another rare thing for me. I wanted to enjoy it more.
