The next week was silent in the house. I did my usual of going to work in the morning, coming home, running errands, and relaxing at home. My mother and Peaches have been out and about getting ready for the start of school next week. My mother has left me alone after my little speech and Peaches hasn't spoken a word to me either. Dalton has been busy with his work and Charlie was keeping a distance.

Everything felt normal.

Besides work though. People seem to notice my face, mostly girls and guys in their teens and early twenties. They didn't go crazy though, which I was happy about. They would only ask me if I was who I was and if it was true with me being with Dalton. I was expecting something intense and huge out of people but they were calm. I was actually happy about that. The attention brought a smile to my face because it felt good to be recognized instead of ignored.

There were that few though, all of them girls, mad that I have taken Dalton. I knew that was what they were thinking because of the glares and pissy voice they would speak in when they see me. I choose to ignore them because I didn't want to cause anything. I went on with working and pretended I didn't notice their reactions.

When I got home on Thursday afternoon, I saw Dalton's grey truck sitting in my driveway. Why was he here? I became worried because I thought that he was in the house with Peaches. Her car was sitting out in the driveway but when I pulled in, I noticed the fate outline of a head in the driver's side seat.

His door opened and he stepped out as I turned off my truck. He turned to me and smiled which brought a smile to my face. I was happy to see him, and it was a surprise because I expected him to be working. I grabbed my things and got out of my truck.

"Hey beautiful," He kissed my lips.

"Hi," I grinned up at him. "What are you doing here?"

"Well my father let me out early from work so that I can be with my beautiful little Angel," He gave me a smile and I couldn't help but match his expression.

"That's nice of him," I replied.

"Well, the album is finished."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I can't wait for it to come out. I want you to listen to it because I know you will love it," He kissed my forehead. I was so happy for him because he had finished and I know how hard he has been working on this one. I couldn't wait to hear his new work when it comes out.

We ended up relaxing in my room and watching TV. He was watching his shows because I didn't know what to pick and I didn't care, so I gave him the remote to put something on for us to watch. This was how we spent more of the afternoon, with talking here and there, but we just enjoyed being with one another. We didn't need to talk all the time when we hung out and it was calm during the silence, it showed how comfortable we were with each other because we didn't need to hold a conversation from keeping it awkward.

Though somewhere around six Dalton started to complain about being hungry. It was funny to watch him like this because he was exaggerating just for the fun of it and it was making me laugh at his actions.

"Angel, my stomach is going to die." He whined suddenly while rolling over onto me. His head laid on my stomach and I ran my fingers through his hair. I was a little uncomfortable with him on top of me but I wasn't dying from his weight on top of me.

"Well, that sucks," I mumbled.

"You're going to make me suffer? How could you?"

"Eh," I played along with him and his face was funny.

"Wow, I feel the love."

"I know, so do I."

"Yeah, the love of watching me suffer," He laid his head back down and I giggled at his pouty face.

"Exactly," I kept laughing.

"I'm gunna die without food and love," He groaned and I bit my lip to keep back the giggles as I lifted his head off my stomach so that he was looking at me.

"I love you silly and alright let's go make something to eat," I told him and a smile grew on his face before he lean close and kissed my lips. Within seconds he was up on his feet and dragging me with him. "Are you a squirrel or a bear?"

"Is that a hairy joke?"

"No, it's a fat joke, are you fattening up for the winter?" He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Yes," He answered with all seriousness before we made it to the kitchen.

"Really? I knew it! Now I won't be able to see you all winter," I pretended to be sad and he only gave me a smirk. Oh god, what witty comment does he have to what I said?

"Well, I don't need you see all my fat. So yeah, I guess you'll have to wait till it's all gone and I'm skin and bones."

"Ew gross," I was disgusted. People who starved themselves for no reason and end up being almost skin and bones is gross. I don't understand how anyone could do that to themselves. I would hate myself if I did that just so I could be skinny. It was hard enough with my high metabolism and that's why Billy would always catch me to try his 'latest creations from the kitchen' because he knows that I will eat it no matter how fattening it is. Almost all the time it turns out being really good.

"What? You don't want me skinny?" He questioned while I looked around for something to make. I saw two raw steaks sitting in the fridge and pull those out.

"No, I like you the way you are." I gave him a smile before looking through the spice cabinet trying to find the steak rub. It was buried in the back and I was having a problem trying to reach for it. I felt Dalton come up behind me and his hand reached out to grab the steak rub from the back. He handed it to me, "Thanks," I smiled.

"Your welcome Angel," He pecked my lips. I continued with what I was doing while he sat down in one of the stools by the counter. "So you like me how I am?"

"Of course I do...I think your perfect," He smiled at my comment.
