"Hey, I found her." Charlie spoke into the phone. "She's at the Amina show with her sister and mother...I got her right here...alright, alright." I felt something cold touch my ear and then a voice rang through making me smile.

"Angel?"

"I'm okay," I spoke to him.

"You had me so worried," He relaxed noticeably. "I thought something happened. You wouldn't answer my calls or texts."

"My mother took my phone," I spoke while taking the phone from Charlie's hand because I couldn't hear him well enough with the phone moving everywhere. Charlie let me hold the phone and wrapped his now free arm around my waist. He held me close to him and as I talked to Dalton. It was becoming a bit uncomfortable for me but Charlie seemed to be calm like this...so I didn't bother about it. After what I caused him and Dalton, I just let it be.

"You're fuckin' kidding me, right?" I have never heard Dalton curse before and it scared me hearing him like this. "She is seriously asking for it. No one makes my Angel unhappy."

"Dalton," I tried to calm him.

"Do you realize how inhumane your mother is to you? She treats you like a damn slave and it pisses me off! It pisses me off because you can't do anything about it and I can't do anything fuckin' about it! How the hell did that woman go this far without being questioned about the treatment she gives you?! The yelling, the demanding, the bullying, and the lack of love she doesn't give to her own damn daughter! No! She too fuckin' damn busy with her other daughter to even take a look at her other child who had pretty much fended for herself! The fuckin' fame and shit has gone to her fuckin head!" Charlie could hear the shouting as Dalton was flipping out and he pulled me closer to him. I could feel the muscles in his arms tense and shake. I could tell that he was getting pissed too. I was shaking because I have never heard Dalton so mad and anger. It scared me hearing him this way. "She is really fuckin' asking for it!"

"Dalton," My voice strained as I started to choke up. I was starting to cry in fear. I didn't know what I was scared of at the moment. Dalton's anger as shaken me to the bones and I was scared at what he was going to do. Then my mother...Dalton was right on everything he has said and hearing someone else say it made me so scared about who could happen to me. What if my mother were to find out about this whole thing and about Dalton. She's become so cold-hearted towards me. All she cared about was Peaches. She would do anything to make sure that Peaches was happy and that she had what she wanted, because that meant more fame for her.

Charlie grabbed the phone from my hand.

"Hey, man, calm down. You really scared her." There was silences as I tried to hold back my tears but a couple were escaping. I buried my face in Charlie's jacket so that he couldn't see me crying but he already knew because I felt his hand move up and down my back slowly. "I can't man, she needs to stay here because of her mother...I'll bring her to you as soon as possible...yes, she is upset...I'll tell her. Bye." He hung up and I felt another arm around my back again.

"I can't do anything," I tried to say but it came out in a mumbled.

"Shh, it's fine Darling. Dalton feels like an ass right now...he's really sorry. He didn't mean to scare you, he just really mad at how your mother treats you." Charlie spoke softly and this was a voice that I've never heard before. So little, light, and loving. "Darling?" He moved my hair away from my face and placed it behind my hair. I was starting to calm down. The tears stopped after some willpower but my shaking was another thing. It's happened before and it's all I could do without showing emotion. It was hard to just stand still when you have so many emotions running through your body.

Charlie's hand kept moving up and down my back slowly. I could feel his breaths hit the top of my head and spread into nothingness, his heartbeat was loud but slow under my head, and the room stood quiet.

"Darling?" Charlie spoke again in the same soft voice that was barely a whisper in the room. I lifted my head a little so that I could see his face. But he leaned close and I felt his warm lips on my forehead in a feather light touch. I didn't know what to feel at the moment. What he did made my stomach twist a little and I could feel a warmth on my cheeks. "Everything will be alright...I promise."

What was Charlie doing to me?
