It couldn't get any more awkward then the car ride home.

Peaches doesn't realize that she just pressed unrealistic charges against her sister.

She just lied on national TV about what happened.

What was Dalton and Charlie going to say?

Well this...

"That two-faced lying fuckin' bitch!" Charlie had to restrain Dalton from smashing the TV in his living room. "She's going to fuckin' ruin me and my Angel just to save her own fuckin' ass! I swear once I get my hands on her mother I'm going to rip her skinny fuckin' head off."

"Calm the fuck down!" Charlie threw Dalton back on the couch and quickly turned off the TV. "What the hell man!? You're scaring Darling shitless!" Charlie pointed over to me. I was sitting in a soft leather brown recliner with my legs pulled up to my chest. Dalton actually started to calm down once he realized the state that I was in. "You don't think I'm pissed too?!"

Dalton's eyes looked over to me and I had to hide my face in my legs because I started to cry again. Dalton forgot how much it scared me to hear him shouting and screaming. It was a scary scene to watch him go crazy like that. Though that wasn't the only thing I was emotional about.

Now my mother is even harsher towards me and more in love with Peaches and what she has done today. I just don't know what to do at home anymore. I'm so afraid to do anything because all I get are glares from my mother from what happened this morning. I wished that this problem would stop so that everything could go back to normal.

There were even more people out on Dalton's lawn and his parents are actually thinking about getting a gate built so that they could have some privacy because of what has broken out. Charlie snuck me the back way again but he doesn't think it's going to stay hidden very long.

A body sat down next to me in the recliner and I glanced up to see that it was Dalton. He looked so hurt and guilty as he stared down at me. I couldn't take it anymore and I wrapped my arms around him for comfort over the problem. He quickly took me in his arms and sat me on his lap so that it was more comfortable for the both of us. I could see Charlie pacing the room before I buried my head in between Dalton's neck and shoulder. He wrapped both of his arms around my waist and rested his head against mine. I was able to relax easier in the comfort of his arms and warmth. He made me feel protected even though he was the one screaming a couple minutes ago. Dalton had lean back and rested my head against his chest so that I could hear his heartbeat and softly he started to hum a familiar tune in my ear. He was humming the song he sang at the dance in my ear. It made me smile a little.

Everything he did in the moment made me forget what had happened and my mind was only focused on him and his gentle heartbeat. The room was filled with silence as I relaxed into Dalton and slowly fell asleep.

I woke up a couple hours later in Dalton's bedroom. I was comfortable under the covers and snuggled deeper taking in the scent that surrounded me. His bed smelt strongly of his cologne making a smile come to my face.

"Angel?" I heard a soft voice speak behind me. It was then I realized where the warmth was coming from. Laying behind me was Dalton with a tired look in his eyes. I turned around so that I was facing him and he smiled softly at me while moving stray hairs out of my face. "Hey sleepy head."

"Hi," I croaked while his arm snaked around me. His hand laid on the back of my head as he brought me close to him. He laid above the covers so his body wasn't pressed against mine as he held me tightly. I smiled happily at the closeness and snuggled deeper into his chest.

"I'm sorry," I could hear the hurt in his voice. "I didn't mean to flip out in front of you. I didn't mean to scare you from the shouting. Your family really makes me mad that they don't treat you right and I just wanna..." He stopped himself short. "I'm gunna stop before I get myself mad again."

"It's alright," I mumbled into his chest.

"No its not. I feel really bad Angel. I hurt you and scared you. I'm not supposed to do that to you. I'm supposed to treat you right, make you happy, and help with your problems. But after my outburst I feel like I didn't help or protect you...I just made it worse."

"You're fine Dalton." And he really was. I was alright and I understood why he would be upset and mad over what happened. I would be too and actually I have already started to not like my mother and sister a long time ago.

"I want you to be happy."

"I'm happy right now," I smiled warmly up at him. "You make me very happy because of how much you care and protect me. I couldn't ask for more Dalton."

A smile appeared before he planted a deep long kiss on my lips. It was full of a lot of want and need as he pressed his lips harder against mine. I could feel his smile as his arms wrapped around my waist. I kissed him back just as deep before he pulled away. I squeaked when he flipped us over. I stared with widened eyes up at Dalton, who hovered above me. His chest pressed against mine lightly as he kissed my forehead, then my temple, down my cheek, and back to my lips. The attention and affection he was giving me make my body warm and full of bliss.

"Can I tell you something Angel?"

"You can tell me anything," I told him.

"I hope we are together for a long time. Just being with you and knowing that you're mine makes my life seem so much happier and I always have something to look forward to. I don't ever want to let you go and I can't wait till the day that you're eighteen and can move out of that house."

"I can't wait either," I grinned.

"Good," He kisses my lips lightly. "Because I'll be waiting here with my arms opened wide."

"That sounds good," I beamed.
