Hey Guys... New Chapter! Enjoy!
Fairytail is not owned by me... :)
Lucy/Kiera P.O.V
It's been exactly a month since I last visited the council. Walking up the marble steps gave me a sense of independence. Kuno, as expected, asked me. Partner, what are we doing here? With a low, quiet growl only for my ears. I looked back and saw him sitting on the ground, a feet away from the first step. I sighed silently and beckoned him to follow me. Kuno hesitated, but complied. I didn't bother to answer Kuno's question as I walked inside.
A guard situated beside the door nodded at me, but I paid him no attention. "Excuse me miss," the guard suddenly said and I stopped walking. I turned half of my body to his direction. "You need a pass for that pet of yours." He pointed a finger at Kuno, and held up his palm towards me. I inwardly snorted. Does he know who I am, really? Normally, the guards wouldn't even pay any heed to my entrance, but this guard did.
I scanned his face and noticed the furrowed eyebrows and stern expression he is giving me. Suddenly, realization dawned on me as I process the thought. Of course! He could be a new guard appointed to watch over the entrance and doesn't really know who I am. I smirked coolly and turned to face him completely.
Pointing at myself, I said "My name is Kiera Shizukana, one of the solo mages of the council." Reaching inside my cloak, I pulled out a small scroll and uncurl it out. Eyes scanned the certificate that holds proof to my status and the young guard paled almost immediately.
"I apologize for the disturbance, Ms. Shizukana. Please proceed inside and have a nice day." The guard saluted smartly at me and I just walked away, with Kuno trailing behind me. Did you see the look on his face, partner? Kuno rumbled with laughter. Oh boy, I swear he looked like he's going to piss in is pants. Kuno's laughter doubled over in my head and I ignored him.
Walking to the corridor, I stopped in front of the oak double doors where voices can be faintly heard from the inside. Barging in, the two people inside stopped their conversation and turned their attention to me.
"Ever heard of knocking?" Quentin joked lightly. I passed the two and sat at the maroon chair situated near the potted plant. He shook his head with a small smile and muttered "I knew she'd ignore it." I pretended I didn't hear him.
This chair is where I always sit. The two of them and most of the Council knows. A potted plant sat on the right side of my chair, and there was a window big enough to provide fresh air in the room. Beside my chair was a small maroon couch that can hold three people. An office desk sat in front of the room with a file cabinet and a water dispenser on the corner.
Kuno came inside and sat on the left side of the chair, tail swishing from side to side. They didn't seem to notice him. Quentin and Keona, the other person in the room, walked towards the file cabinet to look for my folder. What are we doing here? Kuno asked.
Work, I answered and Keona handed me the flyers. "Here you go, Kiera. You're going to have to defeat a gang of thieves causing trouble in Clover station. But, the train left and is heading to Oshibana station right now. Do what you should to stop the train and the thieves but be careful not to hurt the passengers. And while you're at it, look for our missing mage." Keona's brown hair was tied in her usual ponytail.
Keona Vera is my commanding officer. She was assigned to me and the one who gives me my jobs. Part of Keona's job was to fill out paperwork regarding her group of solo mages and the work assigned to us. She contacts the clients who gave the job requests. She can also choose some people to be part of her team but most of the solo mages were assigned to each commanding officer. Quentin Osias is her assistant commanding officer who covers for her when she's away or on her meetings. Part of Quentin's job was to train me in being a solo mage when I first started the job. He can also be the substitute for solo mages when they can't go on their assigned jobs and helps Keona with paperwork and client calls.
