Today I was able to get some time with Gabriel Agreste to discuss the upcoming live reality show starring his son, in an attempt to find love.
Alya: "Mr. Agreste, as a creative mind, known worldwide for your spectacular fashion brand, what made you decide that your son needed a little help finding love? I mean he's Adrien Agreste, you have one Adonis of a son, sir. He could have any girl he wanted?"
Gabriel: "Heh, well Ms. Cesaire, as true as that is, that the girls swoon over my son, and as good as it is for the brand, Adrien is a particular young man. As you know, he hasn't had a girlfriend, not even a fling, he's been voted the hottest bachelor in Paris two years in a row now, but he continues to stay away from girls. He says it's because they want him for his name and his looks, not for who he is, that no one knows him enough to be worth pursuing."
Alya: "What about other Models? I mean he works with a lot of beautiful women. Surly one of them "knows him" right?"
Gabriel: "You would think. He is adamant that he has his type and until he finds the "one" he's not going to try and win over any hearts. Well, that's where I come in. At 19 the boy needs to open up to the idea and see what his options are, or I'll never have grandchildren, heh. He agreed to do this reality show and date the girls, really putting himself into it to find someone he could see a future with. I know how these shows work, they find each other, and most of the time they separate. We aren't looking for someone to marry, just someone whom Adrien can date in a more than casual way."
Alya: So, you said Adrien is particular? What do you mean by that? Is there something specific you will be looking for in the girls who are chosen to join the show? Are you getting ready to break some hearts before this even begins?
Gabriel: "Very good insinuations, Ms. Cesaire. One reason Adrien has been against dating is this must-have in the girl he wants to be with. None of the models he works with match his requirements, you see. So, that's why I decided to create this show, so I can bring him exactly what he's looking for."
Alya: "And... what is that Mr. Agreste?"
Gabriel: "He likes petite women, not necessarily short, he is 6'4, but he likes them on the smaller side. Even though he likes small, he wants someone with a leader mentality, a girl who could kick his ass, as he says."
Alya: "Any other physical features he's partial to? Which girls should apply for the opportunity to date Adrien?"
Gabriel: "Honestly, yes. He's dead set on black or raven hair, and fair skin, and he has a thing for oriental girls, but that's not a must-have. He also wants someone athletic, he's a nationally recognized gold medal fencer, and he wants someone who can keep up with him. Even though I disagree with this one, he loves video games, especially those fighting ones, Mega Strike, I think it's called, that's his favorite. Then the last thing on his list was honest, caring, selfless, and well, he wants someone who can bake. He can't eat any of it on his diet, so I'm not sure why he wants someone who can make his sweets, but to each his own I guess."
Alya: "Wow, he knows what he wants. It kind of sounds like he's got a thing for Ladybug lol, black hair, petite, can kick ass, heh. Well ladies you heard it here, if you meet any of the above criteria, lucky you! Applications open tomorrow at noon through the week. The contestants will be chosen by the end of the month and shooting is to begin in April! We are super excited to see how this turns out. Thank you for your time, Mr. Agreste, and good luck."
Alya stood to shake Mr. Agreste's hand, his stoic face unchanging. Looking at her hand he turned and walked from the stage without another word. "Well, what an act that was, geez he needs a girl to kick his ass too," she murmured under her breath, heading to the dressing room.
