A Perfect Match for Adrien Agreste

Betrayal?

"Father," Chat Noir growls out, a smirk on his lips matching the man before him. Standing as tall as he can, shoulder back, he steps through the rest of the miraculous team to stand face to face with the enemy. "Adrien, how wonderful of you to bring me all the miraculous," Hawkmoth's deep, brooding voice echoes throughout the open foyer. With a bow the black cat stepped, once, twice, then a third time toward the man. 

"It was my purr...leasure, father. Though you could have done a bit better with the appetizer don't you think? Riposte and Hoaxer, again, eh. Not your best work." Chat shrugged, still smiling as he turned to the rest of the group. "Well now that the Chat's outta the bag, welcome to my humble abode, team miraculous... it's time for the show!"

A loud click sounded throughout the foyer as darkness overtook the room. Unexpecting screams sounded all around as a harsh, villainy chuckle intermingled with the sound. "Second cha. Oohmpff!" Viperion's call to this power was cut short as the sound of being hit escaped him and a bright teal light illuminated the room. The white glint and glowing green eyes showing triumphantly as Luka lay on the floor clutching his stomach, and the snake miraculous held between Chat Noir's foreclaw and thumb.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You really shouldn't trust a black cat you know. We tend to stray to the dark side," Chat hissed as the woosh of a red and black yo-yo came barreling toward him. 

"How could you Adrien! Marinette trusted you!" Lady Fox screamed as the yo-yo missed the feline by mere centimeters. 

"You know what they say about black cat's Alya, we are certainly bad omens for our enemies. Even ladybugs luck can't help you now." The room had returned to a blackness as dark as the deepest of caves. Only Chat Noir having them ability to see the shadows of the miraculous holders as they stand back-to-back waiting for his next move.

"SHELTER!" Carapace yelled, immediately forming a glowing green orb around everyone in the room, causing Chat to immediately step backward.

"Ah, Nino well played, but you missed someone," the cat used his thumb to motion to Lady Fox, who was standing right outside the border.

"Alya!"

"It's okay Carapace, keep everyone safe. With the light from the shelter, I can see now; the cat won't be getting any cream tonight," Lady Fox smirked at Chat.

"Let's go kitty."

"Only, my lady can call me that!" Chat growled as he stormed Lady Fox, as her yo-yo came up to meet his cheek. "Yelp! Hey, foxy, I can't have bruises, remember I'm a model, watch where you throw that thing!" Chat exclaimed as he grabbed the string, before she could recoil it back to her, yanking forward. Lady Fox's balance faltered, her stance wobbling as she released the weapon to keep from falling to the floor.

"Nothing to fight with now. Just hand over the earrings and I'll let you all go."

"You will never get the earrings!"

"I beg to differ, cause this Chat's got this in the bag, foxy lady," he drawls as two arms come behind Lady Fox wrapping under her arms and pulling her back, hands on her head to keep her still. "Why glad you could join us again Hoaxer," Chat smiles once more showing his white, sparkling canine. "No, no, no. Don't you fucking touch me, you piece of shit!" Lady Fox screams as the green light from the shelter, dissipates the room becoming black once again. A thud and another flash showing Riposte back to her feet with Nino now on the ground, his miraculous in her hand.

Immediately the lights in the room flash back on, showing a look of absolute horror on Lady Fox's face, as her boyfriend lay at the akuma's feet and Luka with a Katana at his neck. "The miraculous, foxy, or I could just let Riposte filet snake boy and your turtle. Your choice." A whimper escaping from Luka on the floor as the katana pushed deeper into his throat, a small steam of dark blood slowly beginning to stain his usually teal hair.

"Stop don't hurt them!" She pleaded as she strained to free herself from Hoaxer's grasp.

"Adrien, enough. Grab the earrings and let's get on with this. We have all we need once you take them. Natalie is with the girl in the lair, waiting," Hawkmoth demanded, as Chat bristled.

"You heard daddio, time to get my prize." Chat's sharp black claws scraped slowly down Lady Fox's cheek, drawing small beads of red to the surface of her skin. The hero's wince instigated the need to lean to her ear and whisper, "don't worry, little fox. It won't scar, you won't even remember this once we have our wish in the remade world." Leaning back, he pinched the earring, pulling the back and releasing the red and black spotted miraculous, one side then the other. A flash of red illuminated Rena Rouge, who was now standing before him, her head unrestricted and hanging down in defeat.

"I... I cannot believe you would do this to Marinette. She loves you and the saddest thing is Adrien, I know you love her too. I've seen it." Her amber eyes lifted slowly to look into his toxic green.

"You wouldn't understand, but yes, I do love her. She is everything to me! If I can be happy than why can't my father? Why can't our family be complete again? Huh? We have the ability to do that with the miraculous and that is why we are going to fix everything! I will have my princess and my father his queen, my mother."

"That's not how the wish works and you know it. I know Marinette explained it to you." Rena said as a flash of orange suddenly surrounded her, leaving her as only Alya.

"Yay! I always wanted the fox miraculous," Lila smirked looking at the orange and white hook, necklace dangling from her hand.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. Get rid of them. Father and I have something to do." Chat turned waving her off as Alya screamed, "you will regret this Agreste! Someone has to pay the consequence of the wish and it will most likely be you!" The sound of the heavy wood door slamming behind him as he followed Hawkmoth toward the lair, muffled the last of Alya's warning. Not that Chat didn't already know.
