A Perfect Match for Adrien Agreste

You and Me Against the World Milady... or Maybe it's Just My Father.

Ladybug grabbed her yo-yo from her hip as Hawkmoth and Chat Noir moved into the center of the room. Slowly moving one leg after the other as silently as possible, she lifted herself from the casket interior and softly onto the cold, gray lair floor. Ladybug's eyes continued to watch the two men in front of her as she waited for her opportunity to step in.

"So, what do we need to do now father?"

"First, hand over the miraculous son, then I will summon Gimmie, the kwami that exists from combining Plagg and the Ladybug."

Nodding, Chat looked quickly over his shoulder using his peripheral vision to see Ladybug now standing. A bright red finger moving slowly to her pink lips as she winked back at him. Chat turned his sights back to his father and he reached into his pocket grabbing a pair of round black studs with silver backings. As he placed the earrings into the silver clad hand, Hawkmoth recalled his transformation, purple surrounding him and Nooroo now floating before Chat Noir and an untransformed Gabriel Agreste.

Gabriel began to remove the backings of the first earring and push the stud through his unpierced ears. With a grimace at the pain and small drops of bright red blood at the site, the first silver backing was attached behind his right ear before he moved to the other, completing the same process. "What? What is this? Where is the kwami?" Gabriel growled out as he turned to Chat Noir, teeth grounding together when the red and black Ladybug did not appear before them in a flash of red.

Chat Noir stepped away from this father, turning to face him fully, his baton extended and at the ready as the zip of a yo-yo echoed throughout the cavernous room, wrapping around the untransformed Gabriel. With the swing of his baton, Chat smashed his father across the temple causing him to fall to the cold, hard floor. Powerless to catch himself with his harms pulled tightly to his side, Gabriel thumped loudly crying out from both pain inducing actions. Unable to focus his vision at the moment from the blow, Gabriel could only make out the black and red blurs before him, as the larger one leaned forward toward him. The sound of murmuring voices surrounded him as he finally regained enough control to call his transformation words turning him back into his supervillain form.

Catching Chat off guard the cat exclaimed, "woah," as he stepped back at the bright light surrounding his father.

"I told you to be quicker kitty. Hurry before he comes completely back to himself," Ladybug ordered, pulling her yo-yo string tighter around the now stronger villain before them.

As Chat leaned forward, more quickly this time to remove the miraculous from his father, a cry came from his lips. Grabbing his shin Chat fell to the ground from the pain of a strong kick to his leather covered leg. Ladybug immediately reduced the tension on her yo-yo to move to Chat's side. Hawkmoth taking that opportunity to grab his cane at his side and swing with what strength he could summon. The pain in his head minimized from this transformation allowed him to focus enough to meet his intended target. Ladybug unable to keep her balance fell forward into Chat Noir at the contact of the cane with the base of her skull. Both heroes sprawled out on the floor. Ladybug on top of her black cat.

"Well Milady, as much as I love you on top, I don't think this is the time," Chat groaned out gaining him a slap to the shoulder then she rubbed the back of her head while rolling off of him. "Ow, Bugaboo." The black cat said sitting up now that his lady was no longer on him.

"Adrien, you are backstabbing piece of shit! After all I have given you, you betray me, and for the girl who is the enemy. What about your mother?" Hawkmoth barked as he stood to his feet using the cane to keep his balance. "You never loved me or gave me anything old man. All I ever had was what you wanted. Mari is the only thing I have ever wanted for myself. Why would I give her up just so you can have what you want!" Chat snapped back. Both men standing in front of each other within striking distance.

Changing his stance to better attack, Hawkmoth continued his rant, "your mother loved you for years, she brought you into this world, she is who wanted a child in the first place, and she should be worth more than a girl you haven't known the identity of for more than a few weeks! Without your mother you wouldn't even be here to fight! You can be happy and find another lover who actually cares about you and doesn't want to stop your mother from coming back to us!" Even out of breath from his tirade, the villain wasn't inhibited, springing toward the black cat, cane above his head and moving downward. The blow was immediately blocked by a silver baton, the tension shaking both men's limbs. Chat Noir's feet planted into the floor as his knees trembled from the strength behind the hit.

"That right there is why I am no longer with you father. My eyes are open that I mean nothing to you. You only care for yourself and your wants. Of...ugh...of course I love mother! I miss her every day, but Mari isn't the one who will cease to exist."

"You know not what you speak of boy. You are brain washed by that nasty bug!"

The two men continued to attack, parry, and block each other's attacks as they argued their points. "That is where you are wrong Father. You just said that you didn't want me. Mari told me that it is an equal exchange. Gimmie would take me. You never wanted me, you never really loved me, so why would I give up on my life and the girl I love? It's not an equal exchange, Hawkmoth," Chat Noir stated as he charged toward the butterfly villain, "cataclysm," he screamed, his right hand catching the cane as it came down in a chop toward him. The cane instantaneous turning to dust and sprinkling to the floor.

"This fight is over father. Mother would never be happy with how you and I have tried to bring her back. I see that now. It's time you give up."

Another bright pink light shown behind Hawkmoth as a pair of silver hand cuffs fell into Ladybugs hands. "Let's end this kitty. We have a dating show to finish and wedding to plan." Ladybug said smirking as she moved toward the now unarmed Hawkmoth. "Oh, Milady, are you proposing?" The Cat asked as he threw a punch at Hawkmoth, who caught it in midair allowing Chat to bend under their arms, bringing an uppercut into his jaw causing him to stumble backwards. The final blow coming as a large black boot made contact with the purple villain's midsection. The villain meeting the floor with his back.

Ladybug moved over him, landing a punch of her own. A crunch sounding as the cartilage of his nose fractured at the impact. Blood spurting across his face and Ladybug's suit, though unseen due to the matching color of her suit. Finally, she clutched the butterfly miraculous and ripped it from his chest. A bloody and bruise Gabriel Agreste was left lying under her grasping his bleeding face.

"That was for treating my kitty so poorly for years you son of a bitch," she spat, rolling him onto his stomach, a grunt of pain escaping him at the movement, while she placed the handcuffs onto his wrists.

Standing to her feet and moving back to her love, "I'm going to head upstairs and check on the team. Can you handle him Kitty?" Ladybug asked, placing her palm on his cheek as he nestled into her palm, turning his head to lay a quick, light kiss to it. "Of course, Milady." Lifting to her toes, Ladybug pecked his lips before wrapping her arms around his torso. "I'm so proud of you, Minou. We will find a way to help your mother that doesn't consist of re-writing the world and we will do it together. I love you, kitty," Ladybug said pulling away with a bright white smile, her eyes shining in the lights hanging overhead. "I know Mari, I know. You and me against the world, Milady. I love you too."
