A Perfect Match for Adrien Agreste

Revelations

Marinette opened her eyes to a room full of sunlight, rolling on her side and feeling around she didn't feel another person beside her, but she knew she had slept with Adrien. Taking in the bed and the décor, she realized that she was in her own bed, but she didn't remember coming back to her room. She would have to ask Tikki.

"Tikki, where are you."

"Here Marinette, did you sleep well after your love making last night," the little ladybug kwami giggled as she asked.

"I'm not discussing anything about last night with you, except for how I got back in my room. Do you know?"

"Adrien brought you in here about an hour ago, before the other girls started waking up. That Natalie woman came to his room and saw you together, but for the show you couldn't be seen exiting his room, so instead of waking you he just carried you in here," Tikki shrugged, flying to the dresser and grabbing a cookie.

Humming in acknowledgement, Marinette lay her head back on her pillow, thoughts of the night before running through her mind. How was she going to get through the day after what they had done last night, and why had she done that anyway. She barely knew the guy, but it felt like she had known him for a lifetime.

"Hey Tikki, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it Marinette?"

"Well, you know me, I never would have slept with a guy out of the blue like last night. It's strange really, I feel like I have known Adrien for years, but it's only been days. Does that make sense, have you ever had any other holder who has experienced something like that before?"

Marinette's brow was creased as she worried her lip between her front teeth, not sure what to make of her rendezvous with the sexy, teen supermodel, Adrien Agreste.

"Well, actually, I... I feel like I need to tell you this Marinette. I have seen this many times in the past actually. Umm. I think you need to prepare yourself for this."

"How bad could it really be Tikki?"

Floating up to Marinette's face, Tikki frowned as she began to describe her past holders and her conversation with Plagg the prior night, "and so since the universe makes sure that there is a balance between the two miraculous, it is a love and live together or hate and die together kind of thing with them."

"Okay, what does this have to do with me and Adrien?" Marinette asked confusion over her face after the hour of explanations and ex-holder fated outcomes.

"That is... because Chat Noir is... BURP, Marinette."

A gasp flew from the girl's mouth as her hand moved up to cover it.

"You can't say his name. Oh no, there is no way he's Chat!"

"Well, you are the one who said you have been drawn to him since day one and feel like you have known him for years. That's because you have, you just didn't know. The universe is trying to bring you together Marinette, now that you have met as civilians, the miraculous magic isn't in the way of your fated bond. You will be pushed together until you either come together through love your die fighting each other."

Unsure how to fully comprehend the situation Marinette had gotten herself into, she pulled the cover back over her head, hiding from the world while she came up with a plan. Tikki had told her what Plagg had said about Adrien and his father using the show as a manipulative way to obtain the ladybug miraculous, knowing that the only girls who were selected were gathered based on specific "ladybug" criteria.

"Does he know? I mean, does he know I'm her, that I'm Ladybug?" Marinette shakily asked her kwami.

"Plagg said he has his suspicions but he's not completely sure. He also said his holder is incredibly oblivious so that might be beneficial in this matter."

Adrien was supposed to find her and steal the earrings and she didn't know how to feel about that. However, she didn't think Gabriel and Chat took into consideration that the universe had other plans. Other plans that Marinette needed to use to her advantage. She wasn't going to hate Adrien, she knew he must have a reason for why he has been fighting against her this whole time, and well if his father was Hawkmoth, that was probably part of the problem right there. She needed a way to win Adrien over so that his feelings for her would overpower whatever desire he had for the miraculous.

So, after quiet deliberation, her plan was to officially attempt to woo Adrien Agreste and win the show. She needed to make him actually fall in love with her and win his true affections aside from the universe's wishes. She had always had a soft spot for her kitty, yes, she called him hers, he was the other half of her.

The night before may have ended how it did because of the universe's push, but she knew how she felt too. She had never felt so safe and happy with any other man, not even Luka. She could see herself falling in love with Adrien. She just needed to make him also fall for her and prove they can be happy together. If that happened, hopefully he would join her and team miraculous. It didn't hurt that she just so happened to be on a show that would allow her to do just that.
