Cody's pov.

As I was running on the treadmill in my apartment I was watching the news couldn't really focus because my dog was holding his food bowl in his mouth, asking me to feed him. I got off the treadmill and wipe the sweat off my forehead with my sweat towel. I told my dog that I wasn't going to feed him because he literally just ate five minutes ago he followed me in the kitchen and said that he just wanted a snack just to get him by while I'm gone I rolled my eyes and grabbed a water.

I told you should've put him down when you had the chance! Midnight my cat said licking himself.

You know, I can hear you, right! My dog said, walking towards midnight.

All right, chill out you guys look I'm not going to be home for a couple of hours so that means You guys are going to be here by yourself I would pay for someone to watch you guys, but last time I did that it ended in shambles! I said putting the water down.

When I said that midnight, so that's perfectly fine that he's capable of taking care of himself. I looked at him and told him that's not true because he doesn't have hands so he can't physically feed his self. I told both of them that I have an automatic feeder that would feed both of them at the same time I looked at Rufus and told him that, however, much the automatic food gives him is all he gets until I get back to the house. I took a shower, but it was kind of hard because midnight kept watching. I thought it was weird that he was constantly watching me but I read online that it's what cats do to protect us after I got dressed, I set the automatic feeder to feed both of them during lunchtime. I locked the door and headed on the elevator. Someone told me to hold the elevator. I looked and saw it was my very cute neighbor Bella.

Thank you so much I was afraid I would have to catch the stairs again! She said, smiling at me while getting in the elevator.

Know when you're around me I hope the door and the elevator it's the polite thing to do  you have a busy day today? I said looking at her.

Not really just doing a little bit of grocery shopping what about you I see you're wearing your fancy suit, which means you must have something important lined up! She said, letting out a small chuckle.

I guess you can say so I actually am having an important lunch meeting! I said, getting off the elevator.

She gave me a small smile and told me good luck with my lunch meeting and left Bella was very cute I knew her for about a year before she moved in next-door. There was an old man who was very rude and was constantly banging on other peoples door to tell them to keep the noise down when the whole apartment floor heard he was moving. Everyone got super excited now we can play our music or hell even walk in the halls without watching what we do after the old man moved out the apartment was empty for about two months until on my way home from work I saw Bella struggling to carry some moving boxes. She almost dropped one, but I caught it she's pretty cool we have decent conversations when we're in the elevator together she occasionally comes over to borrow certain stuff like sugar or she asked me certain questions about any of her electronics.

Truth be told I wasn't meeting anybody at lunch that I work with it was actually a girl that I met on tinder last week. We've been taking the relationship pretty slow This was our second date and I was looking forward to it she's pretty cool. The only thing is she tends to talk a lot about fish. I guess it's because she's a part-time worker at a pet store she claims she's a part-time worker, but every time when I go there, she's never there. I didn't really ask her about it because I didn't want to be in her business as I was telling the waitress what I wanted the girl walked in. She sat down. I was going to give her a hug, but she sat down to fast. The waitress asked her. What does she want? She looked at the waitress and said that she  was OK that she already ate.

I'm confused if you already ate then why did you wanna have lunch? I said looking at her.

I don't know anyways, you'll never believe what happened today at work. My boss got mad at me because I wouldn't go on the trip to a pet store in California but I heard it wasn't even a pet store was a shelter and when I explain to him that he said, I am supposed to be participating considering I am a volunteer! She said talking super fast.

When she mentioned that she's a volunteer she kept talking about how her and her boss we're going back-and-forth so I shook my head and told her that I was confused. I explain to her that she told me she was a worker an employee at the pet store she works at now she saying she is a volunteer. She told me that volunteer workers it's the same thing in her book when she said that I put my fourth down and told her that it really wasn't. She looked at me up and down so I proceeded to tell her little employee is a person who actually works for the company volunteer is a person who doesn't get paid for what she does but she just goes to help out her community after I told her the difference between an employee and volunteer she looked at me and told me she wasn't here to talk about the difference between a volunteer and employee. She was trying to tell me about her day so as she was continuing I was just sitting in silence until she mentioned some thing that was wrong again so I told her.
