Chapter 4

We got to school early so i sat at my locker until it was time for school to start. Well i was waiting guess who walked by. Jeremy. I don't think i really have a crush on him... Or do i? I don't know. I waved at him and he waved back then continued walking. I looked down at the book i was reading and continued to read it. I heard voices coming from down the hall, and one sounded very familliar. I looked up to see where and who they were coming from and found a very unusual surprise. "Ava?" I asked the girl and boy who were walking down the hall. The girl turned and smiled. "Surprise?" She asked before she burst out laughing and so did i. Ava has been my best friend since.... Since i don't even remember its been that long. We have always been in the same class since pre-school and when i moved i though i would never see her again but fate works in strange ways. "What are you doing here?" I say getting up from my stuff and going towards her and the guy she was with. "I transferred here right after you. I didn't know you were coming here until Jaime told me the school name." "Wait they knew and they didn't tell me?!? Wow what good friends i have" i rolled my eyes thinking of them. "Blame me. I told them to not tell you cause i wanted it to be a surprise" the guy beside her just watched with out saying anything. I looked at him. "An you are...?" I sort of questioned him. "Daniel.... Ava's b..." Ava elbowed his side. "friend" he finished dropping Ava's hand to rub his side. "Ok..." I smiled a bit and realized what was going on and laughed quietly to myself. "Yeah." Ava smiled back. She turned to glance at Daniel, who smiled sheepishly at her. So cute, I thought. "What a fun 3 years this is gonna be" I said, breaking the silence and smiling. "Yeah. Very fun indeed" Ava smiled back.

First class was Math. UGH! A perfect day just got worse. "X=4 because blah blah blah blah blah and because X is the square root of blah blah blah blah blah. Ok flip to page 227 in your text book and do #'s 3-10 due tomorrow" i flipped my book open and started to do the work. The bell rang 5 minutes after i finished. I packed up and started to walk to PE but then i remembered i had a spare block today so i could do what ever i want. I went to the 2nd floor common area and sat down to read my book. "What are you reading?" A voice says behind me. I jumped at the sound and he placed a hand my shoulder as to calm me. I turned around to look at whoever it was. "A book" "Does this book have a name?" Jeremy asked trying to annoy me "Days of old" "Hm never heard of it" "Well it's an old book" "I guessed that" i smirk slightly at him but let it fade to a smile. He smirks at me. "Why are you being so nice to me?" I ask him "Cause you seem like a nice person" he answers sitting in the chair beside me. "Ok but be warned once you get to know me you'll regret saying that" "Challenge excepted" he answers back with a slight smile. "Jeremy where are you?" A squeaky girl voice asks. "Over here Em" He answers. I started to get up but before i could get away i see the blonde girl walking towards us. My guess, Emma. "There you are! I've been looking for you everywhere!" She says as she sits on his lap and kisses his cheek. BLESH! I know it's normal but still. BLAH! But i just smiled. "Oh Amanda this is my girlfriend Emma, Emma this is Amanda. She's new to the school this year." "We've already met but it's... Wait your name isn't Amanda... It's Amy! You so easily fooled babe" she said as she kisses his cheek again. "Actually you met my twin. She looks exactly like me. Anyone is easily confused by it" "oh ok... So it's nice to meet you Amanda" she said smiling at me. "You too Emma" i said back also smiling. I caught Jeremy looking at me and he caught me staring at him. Why does he have to look like that? I looked away quickly and so did he. Emma just looked at me the whole time, focussing lasers on my head. "Well i should get going to get my stuff" he said getting up as Emma got off his lap. Jeremy kisses her goodbye and walked away. As soon as he was out of view and earshot Emma turned to me. "Ok brat listen to me and listen well. Jeremy is mine and you are not going to take him away from me understood?" She said scaring me half to death. All i could do was nod. She grinned evilly "good" as she said that she walked away. What a horrible day this has turned out to be, and it's not even lunch yet!!!
