The Pianist [DoHwan/HwanYoungz]

These past few weeks, Doyoung has still been absent from school. I've been visiting him during the afternoon at his house. Ms. Kim now lets me in (I guess Doyoung really asked her to do so), and that's how I've ended doing my homework at his bedroom, while he sleeps.

When he's awake, he says he feels too tired to sit at the piano and play something, so he asks me to turn on my laptop, and spelling (slowly) the name of a piece, we listen to it in silence.

But is just not the same.

I'm starting to think that is not that I don't like how the melody sounds. What I like is to listen to him. I think it's the way he plays it that hypnotizes me.

This afternoon, when I'm back from school, I'm in my bedroom changing my uniform for daily clothes, when I see something in the Kim's backyard.

The piano's once again back in the terrace.

I guess that means Doyoung is feeling much better, and that spring is already here.

I'm still in my bedroom, placing my dirty clothes in the laundry basket, when I see something else out there at the terrace: Doyoung. Seems he was also missing to play, since it's still quite early, and he has already sat in front of the piano, opens the cover, and starts playing.

A part of me wants to run to his side, listen and look at him up close, and as soon as he finishes, ask for the name of this new melody, a name that I probably won't be able to pronounce, unless he summarizes it for me.

Another part of me wants to stay here, looking out of my window, looking at him up there in the terrace, as her mom's beautiful secret garden lies beneath him. The cold winter is slowly going away, and now the garden is once again filled with flowers and bushes. The water in the fountain is once again running free.

"Junghwan! Time to eat!" my mom says.

I guess, in the end, I won't be able to do any of my two options.
