"We are all brothers under the skin and I, for one, would be willing to skin humanity to prove it." - Ayn Rand

I was in Dr. Campbell's office telling her about the club ordeal. The way I handled things was completely uncalled for and I was aware it would raise questions among my friends, especially Emily and Jordan since they saw what happened.

"Cassie, have you considered that maybe you should tell someone about  what happened to you?" She asked, glancing at me through her glasses.

"Rossi knows." I replied immediately.

"But have you discussed it with him after confiding in him?"

I sighed and started picking my nails. "I haven't." I looked down in shame. "What am I supposed to tell him? He's like a mentor to me. The only other person who knows is Gideon and we haven't talked since he visited me."

"I believe your reaction at the club stems from not having someone you can be completely honest with." Dr. Campbell interlocked her fingers. "You're in a loving relationship with Spencer. Perhaps it's time you open up to him."

My eyes widened at her suggestion. "Spencer would just blame himself for not protecting me even though it wasn't his job to keep me safe."

"He was your partner." Dr. Campbell rebutted. "It is completely understandable that he feels responsible for what happened. Wouldn't you feel the same?"

"Of course I would." I knitted my eyebrows together. "But Spencer is too hard on himself, especially when it comes to me. I can't put this on him."

Dr. Campbell gave me a small smile. "Give him the benefit of the doubt. He might surprise you."

Her words kept ringing inside my brain. If I tell Spencer, he might freak out and not be able to cope. But if I don't, I'm not sure I will be able to put this behind me. What a conundrum!

I was late for the case presentation and when I arrived, everyone stared at me. "Sorry I'm late." I smiled awkwardly and took a seat next to Rossi.

"Everything okay, Princess?" He whispered to me and I nodded.

Jordan stood in front of the big screen. "Officer Jason Kessinger, Sergeant Manuel Rodriguez and Officer Thomas Kayser were all shot to death while on duty in Phoenix, Arizona." She explained.

"Is this gang related?" Emily asked.

I grabbed the pictures and furrowed my eyebrows. "It could be someone who resents law enforcement. All the officers were responding to 911 calls, maybe that's how the unsub finds them."

Hotch stood up. "Wheels up in 30 everybody."

I started collecting my things when Spencer came up to me. "Is everything okay, Cass?"

"Yeah. I had an appointment with Dr. Campbell." I smiled at my boyfriend.

"You seem a little on edge lately." Spencer pointed out. "What's on your mind?"

I grabbed his hand and kissed his cheek. "Everything's fine, Spence. I'm just trying to focus on work."

Spencer kissed my forehead. "I'm here for you, Precious. Always." I smiled and we walked outside. It was comforting knowing he had my back no matter what.

Once we arrived at the police station, Hotch butted heads with the police Chief due to the arrest of a gang member.

Morgan and I entered the interrogation room and Playboy was sitting there with a smug look on his face. "Playboy, right?" Morgan asked as we sat down. "I'm Agent Morgan and this is Dr. Porter."
