"No mortal can keep a secret. If his lips are silent, he chatters with his fingertips. Betrayal oozes out of him at every pore." - Sigmund Freud

Hotch called me to his office early in the morning. We hadn't spoken since the suspension and I was slightly scared. I knocked on his door. "Come in, Porter!" He ordered and I stepped inside his office. "Take a seat." He said without even looking at me.

I sat across from him and started fidgeting. "Hotch, I wanna apologize for my behavior..."

"Porter, you're going to listen to me." He interrupted and I widened my eyes. His expression was way more stern than usual. "You lied on your report about Benjamin Cyrus."

I furrowed my eyebrows and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. "No, I didn't."

Hotch leaned forward and looked me dead in the eyes. "You were sexually assaulted and didn't report it. That could cost you your career in the Bureau."

"Rossi told you, didn't he?" I was angry.

"He was worried about you and rightfully so." Hotch sighed. "Cassie, we all care about you but you can't keep acting this way."

I looked down, knowing I disappointed Hotch. "I'm sorry and I promise I'll do better."

His expression softened. "I will not report you to Chief Strauss because I believe you will actually do better. You're too bright to have your career cut short. I don't want what happened to Greenaway to happen to you, Cassie."

"You have my word." I stood up and glanced at him. "I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused. I know how much you hate breaking the rules and I made you lie."

"We're done here, Porter." Hotch started sorting his files. "Welcome back." I smiled and left his office. Hotch put his reputation on the line for me and I couldn't disappoint him further.

We were called to Sarasota, Florida, where young girls had been raped and murdered. I kept having flashbacks to my own rape which was annoying. I should be over that by now. It's been months.

When we arrived, Hotch looked at us. "Reid, Prentiss and Porter, I want you three to go to the Harris' residence and try to find something that might help us find Missy DeWald."

The three of us headed to the Harris' house and I noticed the daughter was devastated. Poor girl didn't want to believe her father could be a murderer. "You're Andrea, right?" I asked the girl. She nodded and I gave her a soft smile. "I'm Cassie Porter with the FBI. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"

"My father didn't do whatever you think he did." Andrea said in anger.

I sat next to her. "Andrea, I'm not here to accuse your father. I just want to ask a few questions and understand what kind of man he is." I replied calmly.

Andrea glanced at me unsure. "My dad is a great man. He works hard to provide for us and he's teaching me how to drive and he's very involved in my life."

"My dad is the exact same." I smiled and the girl wiped away her tears. "I know you love your dad very much and this situation must be devastating for you. But we have evidence against him." I sighed. "Sometimes, people lead double lives and lie about who they really are. Your father would never hurt you and he loves you. Hold on to that, no matter what you'll find about him."

"You really believe he killed those girls." Andrea's statement nearly broke my heart.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Have you ever noticed a shift in his behavior?"
