Spencer and I arrived at the BAU and made our way to the break room where Garcia and Morgan were. I was still holding hands with my boyfriend. "Good morning, Pretty Couple!" Morgan grinned and I rolled my eyes.

I started pouring coffee for me and Spencer. "Where are Emily and JJ?" I asked.

"JJ is in her office and I haven't seen Emily around?" Garcia informed me.

Morgan put his arm around me and smirked. "Aren't we good enough company, Pretty Girl?"

Spencer removed Morgan's arm from my shoulders. "Not at this moment." I smiled at both men and took a sip of my coffee. "I suppose we're on paperwork duty."

"You need it, Spence." I mocked my boyfriend. "The amount of files on your desk is embarrassing."

Garcia laughed. "This wouldn't happen if you went digital. Keep up with the technology."

"I like paper." Spencer retorted.

I nodded in agreement. "There's nothing better than the smell of paper." I smiled immediately, earning an eyeroll from Garcia.

"You two are hopeless." She said as she left the break room.

"Mama is mad at you, geniuses." Morgan commented with a smirk.

"What did I do?" Spencer shrugged and I leaned my head on his shoulder. He immediately kissed the top of my head and I smiled. His scent was comforting and I felt at ease around him. Spencer Reid was something else.

As I finished my paperwork, I noticed Emily walking past the bullpen without even looking at any of us. "Is it Emily's day off?" I asked Morgan and Spencer.

Spencer shrugged and Morgan shook his head. "Not that I know of."

"She might have requested a personal day." Spencer suggested as he kept flipping his pen.

"Emily Prentiss never asks for a personal day." I retorted. "Something must have happened." My blue eyes caught a glimpse of Hotch. "Dad must know."

Morgan grinned and placed his hands behind his head. "He will never tell you. Hotch can keep a secret."

"Porter!" I heard Hotch's voice echoing from upstairs. "In my office, now!"

I stood up and Morgan chuckled. "Good luck with dad." I shot him a look and he nearly fell from his chair, causing Spencer to laugh.

Hotch sat on his chair and grabbed a case file. "Close the door!" I did as he told me and took a sit in front of my boss. "Prentiss is taking a personal day." He informed me coldly.

"What happened?" I asked with uncertainty.

He stared at me and then handed me a piece of paper. "A friend of hers died recently."

I glanced at the paper and read a name. "Matthew Benton?" I raised an eyebrow. "It says here he died of a heart attack."

"Prentiss was quite taken by the news." Hotch sighed. "You're the closest to her in this team and I need you to go to her and give her all the support she needs."

"Are you giving me the day off?" I grinned.

Hotch leaned forward with a stern expression on his face. "Don't push it, Porter."

I stood up and nodded. "Sorry, Hotch. I'll do my best to find Emily and talk to her."

"I expect nothing less." Hotch stated before I left his office. Making Emily Prentiss confide in me was going to be extremely difficult. The woman is far too secretive and won't disclose any personal information.
