Saturdays are the best days of the week. Don't you agree?
We sleep in, forget about school and everything else, and completely ignore our friends when they yell at us to wake up until they douse us in cold water. That's when we remember watching 100 ways to die.
"Wa. Are you people mad? Don't you have better things to do this beautiful morning?" I ask, shooting up from the bed and glaring at Chichi who's still clutching the cup of water like she's refraining herself from pouring it on me again.
Sophia doesn't even pay attention to us because she's busy staring at her phone screen with a smile. Weird, right? And Jasmine flops on my desk chair and crosses her legs.
"Jasmine, please, can you kindly remind Kemi of what we're doing this beautiful morning before I hit her with a stick?" Chichi asks, still looking at me intensely and I finally put the pieces together.
"Is that today?" I ask.
"No. It's next week. Stand up joor."
I pull my comforter closer and completely dread begging to come to this. My bed feels so soft, but Chichi's glare feels so hard.
"Can I sit this one out?"
"No."
"I really just want to lie in bed and do my chores in the afternoon in my pyjamas. There's no way I'm going to get dressed and my mom probably won't let me go," I say trying to be convincing, but the only reaction I get is a raised eyebrow from Jasmine.

An hour later, and I'm at the movies in between Jacob and David trying so hard not to look at the screen playing The nun 2. I think of my bed and I fight the urge to groan. I'd probably still be sleeping.
"Is this why you begged us?" I whisper to Jacob.
"I'm not sure I begged you but, yes. I can't watch this on my own. I'm not crazy." Technically, I am for allowing myself to be dragged to this. I feel like I'm the only one that minds, but I notice Sophia clutching Isaac's arm and David flinching every five seconds and I hide a small smile even though it's already dark in the theater.
When I finally hear the credits rolling, I dart out of the theater as fast as I can. I guess I'm not sleeping tonight.
"That was epic right?" Isaac asks, grinning ear to ear, and I glare at him.
"Define epic."
"I've been wanting to watch that movie since it came out. I can finally scratch that off my TBW," Jacob says, and I want to bury him for putting me through that because of a TBW list. I blame the movie for my murderous tendencies.
"It was pretty amazing," Chichi and Benji say in unison and glare at each other. Of course, they loved it.
"I'm going home," I announce and start heading towards the exit.
"What...why?" Jacob asks.
"Because I feel so sleepy, I could drop and I've got assignments to work on, too."
"Stay a few," David says and I shake my head and open my mouth to utter another excuse. "I'll get you ice cream."
"I think I have a few minutes to spare," I say and look at my left hand that's bare of a wristwatch. I shuffle back to the group and yell an overenthusiastic 'let's go'.

"Just pick one."
"This is a tough decision," I whine, and look back at my options. I can't do this.
