The rest of the weekend was spent with all the first lazying around, the second years were sent on a two day mission that doubled as their holiday but you guys were stuck in tokyo, during the heatwave. It was too hot and dry. You and nobara were sitting under a shade, her head on your lap and your tessens being used for fanning air. On your right Gojo was also laying half dead under the shade, waiting for megumi and yuji to come back with the drinks but they were talking too much time.
You guys heard rushing footsteps, without opening your eyes you guessed it was yuji.
" guysssss!!" He screams to get attention.
" shut upp, we are too hot to keep up with your antics" Nobara groaned raising her head to sit up straight.
" Fushiguro is being hit on" He grinned mischievously, now that got attention, Gojo jumped up and so did Nobara, you however were not interested to be involved with anything related to fushiguro, still pissed at him, kept sitting
" Formation B" Gojo commanded and yuji and nobara responded with a yes and they took off, you did not want to be left alone so you jogged behind them. Clearly seeing Megumi talking to another girl did something to you, you felt angry and disappointed at the same time. And when Nobara and yuji climbed on him, uttering embarrassing stuff made you more uncomfortable and moody.
" You Homewreckers! Megumi chan, you have a violin lesson with me, ltoday i will teach you 'twinkle twinkle little star' " Gojo said in a overly exagaruted way making you giggle slightly. Megumi looked at you and then back at the girl, telling her directions
After she left, so did the uncomfortable feeling in your chest.
" seriously, what the hell" he glared at you all, smacking yuji's head as he laughed.
" sorry man for ruinin' your game" he joked making nobara laugh along
"Puh-lease who would go out with this stick in the ass?" She laughed louder.
" You guys are so hilarious" megumi snarled at all your collective laughing, although he couldn't help but not smile. But that smile didn't last long when the notification of a mission sounded to all of your phones.
(timeskip after the whole ass mission cuz i am too lazy to write it although there would be snippets)
You groaned as your eyes opened to reveal the familiar room, that smelled of cigarettes and cologne.
" Good your up" Shoko said as she filled up a syringe with liquid. The sight of the needle was enough to get you unconsciousness.
" No needles" your voice hoarse from dehydration.
" it won't hurt, just need a sample for some stuff" She said walking over to you.
" Samples? You didn't take them last time" you asked, running through your memory.
" you were unconscious dear" she smiled pulling up her mask. " Arm out, wrist tightly clenched" She ordered and you half heartedly did, closing your eyes. The needle broke your skin and shoko inserted the liquid. " there done" she said proudly wiping your arm with a swab
" Why do you take it everytime, wasn't once enough?" you asked again yawning. Shoko didn't answer instead she asked you other questions on your head ache and bruises and stuff, you felt like she was avoiding the question.
" How's my favourite student!" Gojo sanged and barged in.
" isn't that yuji?" you heard someone say from behind gojo.
" Oh megumi chan, are you perhaps, jealous?" Gojo teased. Great now megumi is here, you scoffed. He will probably rub it in your face that he can make a simple domain, something you can't do, yet. But still you managed to channel the cursed energy in your weapons and fought a special grade without anybody's help. But the bad thing was that it made you faint, why you don't know and shoko wasn't being helpful at all.
While Megumi and gojo argued, you excused yourself from shoko and turned to leave. You were on the last corridor that lead towards the dorms when someone grabbed your elbow and yanked you.
" what the hell" you said turning around, finding yourself face to face with Megumi.
" you tell me what happened." he said angrily.
" what do you mean?" You were confused.
" you have no idea, do you. Its because you always act on instinct instead of your brain" He gritted his teeth, holding you tighter.
" I fainted, thats all, it was purely out of exhaustion" You said, although you weren't sure now.
" your heart fucking stopped" He said angrily making your eyes go wide.
" What! How?" your hand going on your chest to feel it beating healthy as ever.
Megumi's flashback:
This stupid curse wasn't quitting and my mind was occupied with three things already, Tsumiki, itadori and Nobara and last but not the least, Y/n. the girl who had been in my mind ever since i saw her smile when she and her stupid brother got assigned rooms. Right now she was fighting with all her will and power and i was here ten feet away trying to stay alive. She had improved alot, part of me felt guilty for insulting her during our one to one's. But that was how I was taught, Gojo mocked me into improvement. I won't say this outloud but he tried his best with us. The curse punched me and sent me flying. Blood was making my hair sticky. Y/n was still fighting but her moments were getting sloppier. If i could just kill this curse and that curse at the same time.
I closed my eyes, summoning the dogs or Nue won't help, i need a strong barrier. I need to domain expansion. But how? My mind surfaced through my recent lessons with Gojo as i tried channeling my cursed energy to one point.
" you are destined to die alone" his voice echoed. This was not the first time this sentence echoed it always did whenever it had something to do with y/n. Ugh why can't i get that stupid girl out of my fucking head. Focus megumi, focus. I scolded myself, these negative emotions helped with gaining enough cursed energy, ha i laughed widely and called out
" Domain Expansion : Chimera Garden"
By the time the curse got exorcized i got up to reach y/n who had collapsed a second ago, the curse she was fighting exorcized. I picked her up but my heart met the floor, when i couldn't hear her heartbeat.

" i died? For five minutes" You excalimed. As megumi looked at you with an unrecognizable expression.
" Three minutes, Look, Kugisaki and itadori don't know this, yet" Megumi said, glancing around his shoulder. You nodded
" we will keep it that way" you firmly state.
" i don't care just take care of yourself, We don't know why it happened so be extra careful during missions" He said and walked away. How can he go from caring to harsh to caring in few seconds, such a double faced asshole you thought angriliy, glaring holes in his uniform.
