Luke walks in the storage room. It had been years since he first stepped foot in this room, and each step brought back the painful memories.

Luke shuffles through the boxes, as he told Amber it was unsafe to walk around with boxes.

But one thought came to Luke's mind every time he was alone.

Maddie named their daughter Amber. He loved the name Amber, it was used in his dream.

But how did she know?

Luke thinks this over and over in his brain while picking up the boxes from above, trying to search for his wedding pictures.

He picks up a box from the top of the shelf, which reveals a letter.

But Luke didn't know, that this letter was not just an ordinary letter...

Maddie's POV:

"Mommy! can I sleep with daddy today?" Amber smiles at me.

But now, I feel as if she wants her dad more than she wants her mom.

In one way, that's good for me. I don't have to force Amber to do anything, her father does it for her.

In the morning, I'll leave Amber and Luke, and I'll write a note on why it was necessary to leave.

"Yes, baby. You can sleep with daddy tonight." I smiled at her, and within seconds she was roaming the halls to her dad.

"Daddy! Mommy said yes!" She yells, but I worry that she will be out of breath.

She is definitely a daddy's girl.

9:30.

Amber is asleep.

"I'm sorry, my dear." I shed tears on Amber's face.

I get up and leave Luke's room, dining a paper and a pen, writing my notes down.

But right before I'm about to leave Luke's room one last time...

"Hey, wait up." I hear his voice from behind.

"What is it now, Luke?" I sigh, rolling my eyes.

"Look, for Amber's sake," he says, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry."

I look up to him in his eyes.

"Even though you should be the one saying that." He mumbles in his breath, but it's very easy to hear.

Should I, now?

After kicking me out of his house, pregnant, after leaving me alone when I needed him the most in my entire life, after not believing that I didn't do anything, I should be the one saying sorry?

I look straight back down.

"Maddison. I'm sorry, okay? Please forgive me and let's move on with our lives." He shoves his hands in his pockets.

I fold my arms.

"I'm even saying sorry to you! With my own mouth!"

Hemmings, they are easy to say with your mouth, not your heart.

"apology un-accepted." I say, walking back into the house.

I gather my things for the night and after Luke went into his room, I headed out.

Luke's POV:

I open my eyes and the first thing that I see is Amber.

Her face, it's as beautiful as Maddie.

But, why, why didn't she accepts apology?

I quickly get up and walk into the living room, to find the wedding album still out.

So, being the organized person I am, I go into the storage room to put it back.

But while looking at it, I trip on a box.

And in front of me lands a letter. with my name on the top of it.

"What?" I grab the long letter and stand back up on my feet, to read it.

Dear Luke,

Lord, where are you? My love, my life, please come back to me. Mum has now kicked me out of the house, and with this red dress that you told me was your favorite, you have left me here alone. Luke, I'm only yours. I love you a lot Luke. When I left your house, I was twelve weeks pregnant. please Luke, don't leave me. I don't have anywhere to go. after that dream you had where you were yelling our small little family's name, I'm naming our child Amber. Listen to me Luke, Lexi, Drake, Lindsey, and Mum all set this up, just so that you could give me a divorce and marry Lexi. But I know you still love me, I know you won't leave me. I love you a lot Luke, I really do.

At this point, I was beyond frustrated. I hear a voice from the living room, and realize that mom is talking to someone on the phone. Not just someone, she was talking to Drake.

"You need to come back." I close my eyes.

"Luke is going crazy, I know. She's back. I'll fix things up for you!"

"Okay. See you then." I turn my head away from the corner of the room, making sure that she doesn't hear me.

"Daddy!" I hear a cry in Amber's room.

I quickly drop the paper and run to her room.

"What's wrong, baby?" I hug her so that she stops crying.

"Where's Mommy?" She cries.

"Uh.." I look all over the room, assuming she checked everywhere.

"Did you check the bathroom?" I ask, walking to the bathroom.

"Dad, I checked everywhere." Amber's faint voice led me to look at her with sympathy, until I saw a note next to her bed.

I walk over and pick it up.

Luke,

I am now sure that you are more important to Amber's life. A lot more than I am. You treat her like a real father, different than what I expected. This doesn't mean your not her father, you are, but I don't think you need me anymore. I know you don't want me there and I don't want to see you either. Keep Amber, just make sure she eats everything and stays healthy.
If you need anything, you can contact me at my address. Thanks.

Maddie

No.

Maddie left.

I run out the room and leave the house.

I lost her trust once, its time to gain it.
