"Grant!" I called as I left the bathroom, just finishing getting ready for the day. My boyfriend looked up from his phone to look at me, sitting at the foot of the bed. A small smile appeared on his face as he saw me basically vibrating with excitement. "Ready?" He asked, trying to stifle a laugh at my child like excitement. "Yep!" I chirped, taking his hand and pulling him to his feet. "You're gonna love her!" I giggled, basically dragging him through the house to the front door. Grant laughed, "You've told me that at least two hundred times already!" "I don't care!" I laughed with him.

Grant, or better known as YourNarrator online, was my boyfriend of one year and a half. He was the more... Matured one in the relationship as I acted more like a child... If that wasn't already obvious.

We made it to the car where I sat in the passenger seat and he took the driver's seat. "My grandma basically raised me," I began as he pulled out of our driveway, "And she's literally the best! Like, literally, she's the best grandmother in the whole universe!" I insisted, making Narrator smile. "I can't wait to meet her," my boyfriend responded, keeping his eyes on the road, "By what you've told me, she seems pretty awesome." I cleared my throat, "She is pretty awesome." I correct, making him playfully roll his eyes, "Alright, she is pretty awesome." Grant corrected himself, making you giggle, "That's it." I said making him laugh.

We arrived at my grandma's new house. She had just moved in not even a week ago.

And just like she did when I was younger, she had waited for me on the porch. I ripped off my seatbelt, flung open the door and bolted up to her. "Grammy!" I cheered childishly, running into her arms. The elderly woman wasn't your average grandmother. She has been working out and doing physical labor her whole life. Hell, she's eighty-four and she can pick me up!

"Y/n, my sweet grandchild!" My grandmother cheered, having a child like heart just like me. She literally picked me up in a hug, making my laugh. She set me down and placed her hands on my shoulders, "How have you been, dear?" She asked, the smile never leaving her face. "I'm doing great! I actually brought my boyfriend, Grant, with me! Look!" I say, turning to point at him, who held a shocked expression as he closed my car door and walked over. "Good morning, ma'am. It's awesome to finally meet you. Y/n talks about you all the time." He introduced, holding a hand out for her to shake.

My grandmother eyed him up and down before smiling and grabbing his wrist and yanking him forward and hugging him. "Awe, I've heard about you, sweetheart! You don't gotta make a good reputation with me, as long as you don't get us both arrested!" She joked, pulling back, making both of us laugh. "C'mon in, you two! Can't leave them cookies waiting too long. The cats will eat 'em." She said, leading us into the house.

Grant and I shared a look, "You weren't kidding that she was strong." He chuckled nervously, taking my hand and interlocking our fingers together. I laughed, "Mhm." I hummed, leading him into the house, closing the door behind us. We made it into the kitchen to see my grandmother holding a three legged cat in her hands, "Loki, I told you to stay off the counters!" She scolded the all brown cat. Yeah, I said all brown cat. She set him on the ground before turning to the cookies that rested on the counter.

"Grant, you aren't allergic to cats, are you?" She asked, glancing over. "Oh, uh, no. I had a kitty a whole ago. She passed away, unfortunately." Grant said softly. "Alright," She cut herself off when she saw our hands, "Well, I'll be. You two are real cute." She said making us laugh. She turned her gaze to Narrator, "You better treat her good or I'ma shove my foot up your ass." "Grammy--" "I will. I wouldn't dream of hurting her, ma'am." "'ight."

The rest of the day was amazing. We had so much fun and I was right, Grant loved her.
