The goons reached Vetri's house. One of them got down to go in when he saw a big padlock on the door.
"Anne!Veettu poottirukku'ne!"the guy alerted his mates.
"Naama vara seidhi therinju velila irundhu poottu pottu ulla olinjittu iruppanga...etti paaru'da!"
The fella tried to see through the window but that too was locked. He returned to his gang.
"Naan nalla paarthutteyn...ulla yaarum illai pola...sathamum illai jannal kooda saathiyirukku avanga ulla olinjirukka vaaipilla'ne..."
The other members were frustrated.
"Cha! Thappichittaanga!"
"Ippo enna'ne panradhu?"
The gang leader saw passers-by looking at them suspiciously.
"Suthi muthi aalunga irukkanga...nammala gavanichittu irukkanga...rombha neram inga irukka vendaa...modhalla kelambuvom nalla sketch pottu appuram thookkuvom...vaangada!"
The baddies cleared from the spot.

After prayers Saraswathi and her family headed towards the hall/mandabam. One of her family members called Aranganathan and family to go along with them. They too started walking to the hall.
V: Anne, enna'ne nadakkudhu? Pongal vekkanumnu solli dhane vandhom ippo yaaro mandabathukku poga solranga naamalum poitu irukkom...pongal vaikardhukku edhukku kalyana mandabam varaikkum poganum?
Kamalamma eyeballed Kalai and Anbu not to reveal anything until the event commenced. Accordingly Kalai and Anbu played along.
KA: Adhu...ippo rules maathittangalam'da mandabathula poyee dhan pongal vekkanumaam adhan...nee pesama vaa engakooda....
V: Ille'ne...adhu vandhu...
AN: En thambikutty! Pattu veshti sattai'la yevalo azhaga irukkan...vaa chellam...!! (mv: ivan kita irundhu adi udhai confirm enakku)
His brothers whisked him off. Abhi and Mullai Malar were walking behind. Kamalamma asked Nandhini and Aranganathan to go ahead and they went. She pulled Chitra back.
C: Enna athai?
K: Nee enna pannuviyo yedhu pannuviyo enakku theriyaadhu...Indha Rajasthankaari Vetri nichayadharthathula kalandhukka koodadhu...avala kovil'la engeyavadhu sutha vittu nee mattum Malar pappavoda mandabathukku vandhu seru....
C: Yean athai ava vandha enna thappu? Summa appadi oru orama dhane ukkara pora...
Kamalamma sighed in frustration.
K: Unakku yean ennandra vilakkam ellaam thara mudiyadhu solradha senjaa podhum...
Kamalamma went. Chitra was confused nonetheless she obeyed her mother-in-law.
Chitra intercepted Mullai Malar and Abhi. Volunteering to show them around the temple, she took them the other way. An unsuspecting Abhi followed Chitra.
Vetri and family arrived at the mandabam. He saw the carpet spread and various platters with fruits, clothes and sweets arranged neatly on it. There were also kuthu vilakkus lit and an iyer was chanting mantras.
V: Nichayadhartha erpaadu mathiri irukku...
KA: Konja neram dhan inga ukkaruvom...
Even though he saw the arrangements, Vetri did not suspect his family. He sat down in the middle with Kalai and Anbu on his either sides.
