I woke up late and noticed that it was 11am. I got up and got dressed. I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed that my long hair was getting even longer and my skinny jeans that I had on were black with rips in the knees and my crop top was a band shirt. I then pulled my hair up and walked out of my room. I noticed a note on the floor near my door.

~Carter, you may stay home from school. Your brother, sister, and mother are away for the day. You can drive your motorbike and relax, but please be back by 3 so you can get ready for the party tonight. Love your dad.

I just crumpled the note up and tossed it into my room and walked out of the house and over to my bike. I started it up and took off to my secret place that I found a couple years ago. When I reached my spot, I got off my bike and just walked over and sat under the willow tree. I felt at peace.

Everything and anything were gone. All my problems seem to be lifted off from my shoulders. It was as if someone was watching me. Guarding me. Knowing that this couldn't last forever but wishing that it would I sighed and just closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Awaking sometime later I sat up and looked around at this place that I had found. Sighing knowing that I would have to return to the real world. Slowly breathing in the fresh air, I relaxed and until my cell phone rang.

"Hello?" I said without looking at the caller ID.

"Carter why-" Jagger started to say but I cut him off.

"Bye Jagger and don't even try and find where I am," I said and hung up the phone.

A minute later my phone ranged again, and it was Ava. I didn't care or even bothered to answer the phone. I just sat down and closed my eyes and slowly let out my powers. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that the willow has green leaves that were even brighter than before. I knew that I used my energy which is where power comes from and fed it to the old willow.

Looking at the old willow trees and the stream of water the ran past her. I knew this place wasn't real, but my mind wouldn't let me reason with myself. I had created this place long ago. Yes, I had found this place, but this place used to be the house of my father, the house that burnt down to the ground. Glancing around the forest that the willow tree was place in the center in I placed my hand on the tree, and I had brought to life.

Thank you, child of light and night. Said the old willow tree.

I smiled and slowly closed my eyes and said, "your welcome old willow tree. You've been my hiding place for years. It's the least I could do."

Time seemed to pass for me. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that it was late in the afternoon. I glanced at my phone and sighed and said, "Well looks like I need to go old friend. I'll come back soon. I got to deal with Jagger and his lovely family now."

Don't worry child. I'll be here and if not, I know the joy of seeing you grow as I have your parents. Said the Willow Tree.

I smiled and walked over to my bike and left. When I arrived home, my mother was at the door waiting for me. She didn't seem so happy that I just showed up on my bike. I knew I was five minutes late, but she didn't have to look so mad.

"Carter where on earth have you been?" My mother yelled.

"That's a secret. I know I'm late by five minutes. I'm heading up to get ready now. I'll be done before Ava will be," I told her.

I walked up to my room and started to get ready for the party. I jumped into the shower and washed up. Once that was done, I got out and did my makeup and fixed my hair. I pulled my hair up into a bun and walked out to my room and pulled on my undergarments and pulled on my black dress with a bow at the back. The dress was low cut around the neck and the end of the dress touched my knees and of course the dress was sleeveless. I picked up my black jacket that went with the dress and I was done. I didn't have any jewelry on because I didn't want to look the part that I should be playing. That everyone who knew who I really had wanted me to be.

I walked out of my room and my father looked at me and said, "Carter you are beautiful. I wish you would wear some jewelry though."

"I know you all wish me to, but I don't feel like it. Everyone within the coven thinks I don't belong and each time I would wear jewelry they think even worse of me," I told them which was partly true.

Soon Alex came walking down looking handsome as ever. Now we were waiting for Ava. When she finally came walking in, in a lovely red dress that was tight, and it fit her perfectly. Ava walked down the stairs and said, "What do you all think?"

Our mother walked over to her and said, "You look lovely my dear and Jack is a very lucky young man."

Father on the other hand sighed and said, "We should be going, Jagger is already here at the request of the lady."

We grabbed everything that we needed and walked out of the house. My father was right, Jagger was waiting outside with a limo waiting for us. When Jagger saw us, he said, "Lords and Lady Fallen and Princess Carter Knight, your limo."

Jagger knew not to call me that, but my father let it slide because it was Jagger. We piled into to the limo, and it was quiet. No one spoke or said a word. Jagger was glancing down at his phone, my parents were just watching all of us, while Ava was on her phone and Alex was just resting his eyes. I looked out the window.

"Lord Fallen what are you planning on doing tomorrow?" Asked Jagger.

"I'm not sure young master. I believe work. Why do you ask?" My father said.

"I asked because I wanted to stop by and have a word with you about something. If that's all right with you. It seems my aunt is waiting for Lady Carter's arrival. She won't stop texting me. Do you know why?" Asked Jagger.
