Synopsis:
Kilderda has fallen.
Since the invasion of the Maldozian Kingdom, no one on the continent had known peace for five years. Finally, the Neighbours had captured Kilderda's capital, killed her leaders, and had done all but dismantle Kilvengard, the manor which housed Kilderda's provost.
Though Kilderda had fallen, her artifacts had not. After three months of summits, the Neighbours finally agreed to allow each member state to submit an artificer pair to join the Neutralization Team, which aimed to defuse Kilvengard and redistribute the manor piece by piece. Kilderdan magic remained evasive, and only one artificer had yet to be executed.
Maggie Dukas would not have a partner.
Alternatively:
What if a bunch of mid to late-twenties magic users who had survived a war (some from research labs, others on the front lines) had to work together to deconstruct enemy headquarters and the very notion that there are good guys and bad guys.

Umm, hehe, I am still not done my other two apply fics, but I needed to type out this idea and marinate on it. Because at this point, it needs so much more worldbuilding to be concrete but I needed something. It'll be fun when I finish everything and make myself do this though! It'll be really, genuinely fun!
