Chapter 07

Taehee's POV
Break time came and there I was, sitting alone in the cafeteria in the far corner, eating my lunch. I was hoping Jimin would've joined me but unfortunately he was forcibly pulled away by my biggest bully Kang Hani.

I slowly chewed my bland food as I thought about how different today was compared to yesterday.

My desk was completely new, no one cursed at me and no one pushed me around at all.

I thought about some more things when suddenly the girl from yesterday plopped down in front of me with her lunch. She smiled sheepishly and began eating her food.

Probably another girl that wants Taehyung's number.

I poked my food with a fork and moved it around the plate. I sighed, pursued my lips and dropped the fork before standing up abruptly. The girl stopped eating and stared at me confused of my sudden actions.

"Um." She mumbled.

Not knowing what to say, I walked away while carrying the remaining leftovers of my sandwich. The girl stood up and followed me from behind. I held my phone tightly and turned in a corner to enter the hallway.

I sped up my pace and walked to my locker.

By the time I was at my locker I was breathing heavily and puffing. I looked behind my back and sighed in relief as she was not there.

I unlocked my locker and took out my books for the next class, science. Just as I was able to walk into the classroom there I noticed the girl from earlier was sitting next to my desk. I sighed and took my seat. The girl turned and smiled when she saw it was me.

"Hey Tae, where did you run off to during lunch?" She asked, as if we were close friends.

Ignoring her question, I plugged in my ear phones and played my music. I rested my head on the table whilst looking outside.

She took one of ear pieces out. I shot up and stared at her. "Hey-"

"Oh is this Ailee's Heaven?" She cut me off. I nodded slowly and shut my eyes in the process.

"It's my favourite song." She widened her eyes and clapped her hands together.

"It's mine too." She said happily.

I sung as I looked at her name tag. "Solbi-ssi are you new? You weren't here when I was attending school."

She tsked and wiggled her finger. "Come on let's be friends, I'll call you Tae and you can call me 'Sol'" she smiled, quoting the word Sol.

I reluctantly nodded by then shook my head, "It's a bad idea, you should just stay away" I warned her and looked at the door before turning back to her.

Solbi ran her fingers through her long hair and pouted, "why? You and I might be good friends." She said in a monotone voice. I cracked a laugh and fixed my glasses.

"We won't." I answered simply, shutting the whole conversation down.

I looked out the window, admiring the nice view. From here I could see the track field which was always amusing to watch.

The bell rang and everyone came tumbling in so they wouldn't be late. I watched the door and smiled immediately when Jimin walked into the room.

We locked gazes and sheepishly smiled at each other. He waved at me before taking his seat in the front. There it was again, the butterfly in my stomach and sweet sensation.
