Part 14

Fot POV:

DID GEM.. LAUGHED?!

I am certain that I am not having any hallucinations. He's laughing so hard at my picture.

"You look so chubby and squishy when you were a toddler! That is so cute! Look at your face. It was covered in ice cream." Gem laughed.

His comments have become meaningless to me. I'm too shocked to move or even talk. In fact, I'm not even sure if I'm breathing or blinking.

And boy his laugh and smile is so charming.

"What are you looking at?" Gem asked me with his eyebrows furrowed but damn it his smile didn't fade at all.

I don't know this feeling, but it's overwhelming and making my heart beat fast.

I struggle to find the right words for what to tell him. I'm still trying to process that I finally saw his precious smile and his melodious laugh.

Ah damn it what is happening to me?

Is it because it's my first time seeing him smile and laugh?

It probably is.

Fortunately, the sound of a honk outside the house indicated that the driver had arrived.

Gem urged me to "Just eat back at the house." before leaving.

I followed him after hurriedly turning off the AC and lights and locking the door.

I can't believe that happened, and I kept sneakily glancing at him.

I might be dreaming.

3rd POV:

When they arrived, Tinn was waiting for them in the living room. He braced himself for Fot's attack because he knew he was upset or mad about the truth, and he was part of it.

But instead of being attacked, he saw Fot, who was still shocked about what he witnessed, while Gem gave a thumbs up to his brother before heading upstairs to his room.

Fot waited for Gem to close the door of his room before he ran to Tinn and jumped in joy.

"I heard Gem laughed!" Fot exclaimed.

Tinn was so shocked to hear that. "Like.. laugh? Real laugh? No sarcasm?"

"I know a sarcastic laugh when I hear one Tinn. He really did laugh! He was looking at my picture when I was a kid, the one with the ice cream."

"You mean the one when you were covered in ice cream?"

"Yes that one!"

Tinn grinned for a moment. He remembered the time they were at the park. Gem looks like he smiled when he saw Fot acting like a kid when he was buying ice cream. He assumed that he really did see him smile.

"Well you were so cute in that picture."

"Don't start teasing me." Fot pouted.

"But wow. Gem really laughed? It's been so long since I've seen him do it. He's been grumpy all the time."

"But it's good, right? It means he's starting to get comfortable here." Fot said, happily heading upstairs.

Tinn sat back down, happily thinking that Gem was really starting to adjust and get comfortable back home. All thanks to Fot.

When Fot got dressed for school the following day, he headed downstairs. The twins were eating breakfast there already. He thought they had to go early because he noticed Gem was dressed in a suit.

However, the maid served him his breakfast as soon as he sat down. He was just going to tell her to pack it.

"I am not in a hurry. I can wait until you're finished so we can go." Gem said.
