Fot POV:

"You made a coffee for me last night, now you don't want to anymore?"

"H-How?"

"Tiwson told me."

Ai Tiw! I told you to keep it a secret.

"Did you expect that you'd keep that secret forever? Plus, Tiwson is not the right person to talk about secrets. He sometimes slips before he realizes it." Gem told me as he headed to the kitchen.

I then followed him and started to boil some water.

"But you still want to drink it?"

"Why wouldn't I? It's much better than the other ones I'm having."

"But I'm the one who taught the maid how to do it."

Gem crossed his arms and gave me a serious gaze.

"Do you want me to spell it out for you? Your coffee tastes better than the others." Gem said.

"How is that even possible?"

"How am I supposed to know? This type of coffee is one I've already had twice. Maybe it was you too that sent the first?"

"I volunteered to do it once, and you seemed to like it that is why I taught the maid how to make the coffee."

"Still doesn't change the fact that yours is better."

He's so weird.

I stopped trying to respond to him. I just started making him coffee because I feel like my face is burning.

He was simply observing me in silence. It's extremely awkward.

"You're not mad at me anymore?" I asked him to break the uncomfortable silence.

"Mad? Why would I be mad?"

Seriously?

"Because the last time we spoke, it feels like you're so cold to me. It feels like you're avoiding me too."

Gem let out a sigh. It looks like something is bothering him.

"I'm just stressed at work."

I'm not sure why, but I have a strong feeling that he's lying. Similar to how he claims it was nothing, he eventually opened up to me about his past with his friends.

However, I don't want to ruin his mood by prying further into his problem. All I have to do is wait for him to speak.

"So everything is good? We're okay? You're not mad at me? I didn't do anything wrong?"

"Tinn tells me you're good at overthinking, and I didn't know it's like this. I told you not to overthink too much, right?"

"I'm sorry. I just don't like when people are mad at me or are avoiding me."

I finished making the coffee, gave it to him, then poured myself some.

"Would you like me to show you how to prepare this coffee so you can make it on your own in case the maid isn't available?"

"It's fine."

"But how about if you miss the taste of my coffee?"

"I had other coffees before, I can manage."

"But you said you like the taste of my coffee, won't you miss it?"

"I'll miss you more."

I coughed out the coffee I was sipping. Gem got some tissues right away and gave them to me, but I ended up using them to wipe off the counter.

"Not funny! Why would you joke something like that?"

"I just want to see your reaction." Gem teased as he smile.

Oh god.. He's smiling again..

For goodness sake he is an identical twin of your crush! Why do you find this smile more charming than Tinn's?!
