Part 28

Gem's eyes widen when he hears faint crying on Fot's line. "G-Gem..." Fot whispered, his voice almost cracking. "S-Someone wants to kill me.."

"Where are you?"

"I.. I opened my G-GPS.. I can't.. I can't talk much.. They'll hear me.." Fot whispered.

Gem assumed he was hiding, so he didn't ask any further questions anymore.

"Stay where you are. I'll come and find you." Gem assured him, trying hard to stay calm and strong for Fot.

Fot immediately hung up the call, hopeful that Gem would be able to locate him before this group of guys.

As soon as Gem entered the house, he called Tiw to ask for assistance in locating Fot. In order to assist them as well, he immediately called and asked the maid to see if she could get in touch with Tinn. It took Tiw a while before he could find and send Fot's location to him. Gem attempted to book a Grab, but so far, none of them have accepted it.

It was Fot's safety that worried him so much. Right now, he has no one else to rely on. He can't wait for Tinn to get home or for Tiw to come there. He spoke to their maid and asked to borrow the car key from the one they use every day.

"But sir we have no driver to go with you." The maid said.

"I'll be driving."

"But.. your mom strictly instructed us that we would never allow you to drive."

"My own sanity is not nearly as important as the one who makes me feel special. If something were to happen to him just because I gave up, I would go insane. I must get there right now! Should I search the entire house for the damn car keys, or just hand them to me now?!"

The maid was conflicted, but she knew that she could not let anything happen to Fot either. They somehow got attached to him. She hurriedly went to their quarters and went back, handing him the car key.

"Contact Tiw and Tinn. Tell them I'm going to Fot." Gem said as he headed to the garage.

After entering the car, Gem's hands began to feel numb just as he was ready to start it. His breathing became irregular, his eyesight blurred, and his heartbeat escalated, causing him to drop the keys.

"Fuck.. please not now.. I need to save him.." Gem mumbled.

Gem closed his eyes and attempted to bring his breathing back to normal. He continuously told himself that nothing bad would happen to him and that he was safe. Now, more than ever, he needed to save Fot.

"You have to save Fot.. please.. calm down, Gem.. you have to save him..." He kept repeating to himself until his breathing started to normalize.

He hardly rubbed his hands together because they were still a bit numb. After getting the car ready, he grabbed the keys and forced himself to start it. Before beginning to drive, Gem took a few deep breaths. Since he hadn't driven in a while, he was initially cautious as he struggled to regain control over his driving skills and maintain his sanity.

When he eventually arrived at Fot's location, Gem parked close by and got out of the car. He regretfully failed to plan for what would happen after realizing his mistake. He is now concerned about what would happen if those people had a weapon and he were powerless to defend or protect them.

Gem sent Fot a quick text letting him know that he was close by. Fot, however, is no longer responding. He made the decision to go look for him after becoming concerned that something may have happened to him.

Gem cautiously circled the area, trying to find Fot. He came across a phone on the ground while looking, and when he turned it on, the lockscreen displayed a stolen picture of him. It dawned on him then that this was Fot's phone. The fact that he dropped his phone and was nowhere to be seen made him even more anxious.

Although it was quite dark, it was not a good idea to turn on the flashlight. As he continued walking, he was taken aback when someone put their arms around him. But when Gem realized it was Fot, he was so relieved.
