Part 25

Following their last date, Fot and Gem haven't met for more than a week. Even though they really missed one another, they had to endure because Gem is already overburdened with work. However, they occasionally spoke over calls or messages.

Nevertheless, the next several days will be hectic for Fot and his music club as well. Two days ago, it was announced that they would be preparing for another event at school.

~2 days ago~

Pat relayed the information to his friends that the school council will hold a short event in celebration of the principal's birthday party. They will also invite former students who were like the principal's children.

And of course, the Chinzhilla will be part of the event by performing another song.

"Ohoo, why is the boyfriend of the school president the one announcing the event instead of him?" Yo teased.

"Hey, he's not my boyfriend yet," Pat said as he blushed.

"When are you even going to ask him? It's so obvious that you like each other. The whole school is already shipping both of you." Por said.

"You're the one to talk. You and that Tiw aren't even official yet, right?" Pat asked.

"Not yet. If he doesn't ask me sooner, I will be the one asking him," Por said confidently.

"Cut him some slack, Por. Tiw and Gem have been busy with a big project. I'm pretty sure he wants to pop the question with you too." Fot told him.

'I've never heard from him, either. He must be so busy.' he thought while thinking about Gem.

"Look at you speaking about Gem." Pat teased, which made Fot nervous, thinking he knew something. "You've been speaking about Gem lately, have you moved on from his brother now? Are you not awkward that he looks like Tinn?"

Fot looked at Win with a relieved sigh. "I told you guys, Tinn and I are friends now. We're still the same."

Sound then suddenly stood up and looked at them. "Hey, my phone's battery is about to die. Anyone got a charger?"

Though they were puzzled by the sudden and unrelated topic, they all shook their heads. But when Win clicked his tongue and got to his feet, they were taken aback. Everyone tensed up, anticipating what would come next.

"I always tell you not to forget about it. You're always using your phone, so always bring it with you." Win scolded.

"I thought it was in my bag. I forgot I charged my phone last night and it's still in my room. I should probably just get a spare so I have one in my room and one for when I go out."

Win nodded and suddenly softened his voice. "That's much better. You won't constantly complain about your phone dying that way."

"My phone is about to die!" Sound whined to them.

"You can borrow mine. It's in the classroom." Win told him.

"Hurry then, my phone is dying!" Sound grabbed Win's arm and even playfully pushed him out of the room. They were even laughing.

Everyone exchanged glances when they left. Actually, Yo and Pat were prepared to stop if they began to argue, but nothing took place. It was quite peaceful, but also uncomfortable.

"You know, I've been noticing that they are so close now." Yo said to them.

"And I never saw them argue anymore. They keep smiling and being so nice to one another. It gives me goosebumps." Pat said while rubbing his forearms.

Fot can only smile because he is the only one who understands the situation they are in. Despite their agreement to only do it for a week, it's been more than that, and they're still getting along. And he's pleased that his effort to bring them closer is working well. He hopes Sound will be successful in capturing Win's heart and that Win realizes his genuine feelings for Sound.
