(It kinda makes me laugh, running down the path, when you're good as gold)

Rikki Gilbert had never believed in God.
Or, probably, she didn't believe in what others thought of him.
That he was kind, compassionate, and that he loved everyone no mattered what... she didn't believe in that nonsense.
No, she thought of him as a malignant essence.
Because, if he had been at least half as kind as everyone described him as such, her life wouldn't have sucked so much.
If the God everyone loved did exist, she would probably be happier, healthier and smarter than she's now.

She, infact, wasn't happy nor healthy, as everything that happened in her life deprived her of that.
And yes, she was actually smart -or else she wouldn't have been able to study medicine while being the first of her class- but not that much it occurred to understand that becoming a doctor, especially at Seattle Grace Hospital, wasn't the brightest idea someone could have.
Infact, it was probably the dumbest one she's ever had.

If someone had to decide what job or where to work, probably being a doctor at Seattle Grace didn't have to be their first choice.
Too many things had happened in that hospital.
Too many tragedies. Too many deaths.

To be honest, if Rikki had known what she would be facing working there, she wouldn't have chosen it.
But now? No way she would change it.
It had slowly become her home. Her found family worked there.
And, above all, she worked there.

Cristina Yang had never really cared about what others thought of her.
She was hot, smart, always the top of the top, and she knew it.
She didn't need anyone to tell her.
However, for some reason, she cared about what she thought.

And Cristina had never really cared that much about a girl.
She had, infact, never been interested romantically in a girl before.
Not before her.
She screwed up boys. She had always put on her bests dresses, drank some tequila, and then proceeded to find the hottest and smartest man she could.
But then they met.

Rikki entered her life like a train, fast and without caring what she left behind (with the only difference that Rikki, in reality, cared too much about everything), becoming one of the many malignant presences in her life.
No, Rikki wasn't evil as everyone thought.
She, indeed, was one of the kindest person she'd ever met.
But she still broke her.

There was before Rikki.
And there was during Rikki.
For some reason, Cristina never thought there would be an after her... but there it was, and she was in it.

(Cause when you know, you know)

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Maybe posting this is the dumbest thing I've ever did.
However, watching grey's anatomy, having to look at the Sandra Oh and trying not to post this wasn't easy.
And guess what? I failed.

I wanted to thank fxllmoons for helping me back then with this fic's name. They've been so gentle and I would probably not have any title if it weren't for them. Really thank you so much love!

Also I still don't know how many seasons I will write about, but 1-8 it's already confirmed.
