if tomorrow never comes
season one, episode six

Being woken up by an hateful alarm that Rikki didn't remember setting wasn't on the top of her desires' list. But it happened anyways. The alarm loud sound was giving her a headache, or maybe it came from the drank of the night before. It didn't matter, tho, regardless of any way she took it, her head still hurt.

The only thing she wanted was for that sound to be gone, to eat something and go back to sleep. But she had a job, and even though she'd love to keep sleeping and avoid human contacts, she couldn't.

"I swear that if that stupid alarm keeps ringing I'm gonna throw it against the wall," Rikki humbled and covered her ears with her hands, trying to keep off of her mind that horrendous sound.

She didn't get any reply, but a hand had been slowly raised by the girl laying next to her, and after a few seconds the alarm went off.

"Thank you," Rikki muttered. She then turned to look at the red-head next to her, who looked shocked. "Is everything fine?" She asked, staring back at her, who had been looking at Rikki for a while now.

"Yes," the girl replied. What was her name? Rikki couldn't remember. "It's just that I thought you would have been gone when I woke up."

Oh.

"No one ever stays."

Rikki blinked twice. "You do realise that's where I live, and that is you who should have been gone?" She pointed out. That girl must have been still drunk from the night before.

The girl looked confused, as if she were realising it only then. "Oh," she turned to look around with an amazed expression. "Right."
It had been an imperceptible redness, but still Rikki noticed when the girl's cheeks started to blush out of the embarrassment.

Quickly, the girl stood up and started picking her clothes from the ground. Rikki stared at her back, a guilty feeling growing in her chest.

"I didn't mean that you have to go—"

"I have to go anyway," she replied, quickly getting herself dressed. Rikki stared at her figure, observing her with an attention she probably didn't have that night.

The girl she had in front of her wasn't really tall, her straight hair arrived at the height of her chest and were a bit messy, probably due to her not having brushed them yet, Rikki figured out.

She wasn't really Rikki's type, but she was indeed beautiful. And good in bed, too, from what she remembered.
After a while Rikki sighed and got up, too. She had to go to work. "I should go, too." Then they stared at each other, an awkward silence between them.

"Uh... goodbye, I guess?" Rikki tried, not really knowing what to say. It was one of the most awkward morning-after-sex she'd ever had. And she was used to awkward mornings-after-sex.
