Chapter 2- The Prison

Lucas and I found a car in the middle of the road. That's where we spent the night.

I got comfy In the front seat and just as I was about to shut my eyes Lucas started snoring...

So instead of getting well needed sleep, I was stuck keeping watch. So I just sat in the front seat with my revolver in my lap and watched the road. For Hours. Until like 6 am when Luke finally woke up.

"How long you bin up?" he asks.
"Oh not long maybe like 12 hours" I say back.
"Somebody had to keep watch." I add.

"Well lets just get to the prison" I say grabbing my bags and exit the car.
Lucas threw on his shirt and fixed his hair then joined me outside.

"You should've woken me up" he says as He runs to my side. "You needed the sleep" I yawn.

"When we get to the prison, you can sleep for hours" he laughs.

"Yeah.." To be honest I was completely washed out. I was dead tired.

"Remember when Penny use to jump on us on school days to wake us up?" Lucas asks. I nod. "We'd always get so mad at her..." I trail off.

"Don't be sad Lauren, Penny is alright now, she doesn't have to worry." He says wrapping his arm around my shoulder and squeezes.

"We should've put her down Lucas" I stop in my tracks and look at him.
"Lauren we made it out of Woodbury! are you suggesting we go back?" He asks.

"Of course not" I shake my head.

"Lets just get to the prison" Lucas says walking ahead of me. I roll my eyes and follow.

About an hour past and we approach the prison. But it isn't empty people are on guard.

Luke stops and puts his arm out in front of me. "Luke was the big d-" I stopped talking when I saw a rifle pointed at me.

"What're name?!" A boy around our age hollers from behind the fence.

"I'm Lucas and this is Lauren" he introduces us.

"Glenn let 'em in" The boy says to a korean man.

"Sorry for that, safety pro caution" the boy apologizes.

"It's fine. we get it" I say with a smile.

The boy with Crystal blue eyes and thick brown hair looks at me and I'm hypnotized.

"I'm Carl" The boy says with a radiant smile. "Im Glenn, I'm just going to get Rick" He leaves us with Carl.

"So what's you story?" Carl asks Me and Lucas.

"Our dad has this place Woodbury he calls it, He thinks he's making a difference, Changing the world he puts it. he's not, Our dad is insane, he kept our zombified sister in his office. He kills anyone who disagrees with him and we had to leave, before we ended up dying too." Lucas says

"Does he call himself the Governor?" Carl asks.

Lucas and I nod. How did he know that?

"We have a problem then." Carl's smile fades. "What is it?" I ask

"Your father and us are at war."

That's how he knows about this place. He's trying to take it.
