Chapter 6- Family Fued

Rick, Daryl and Hershel went to meet up with my dad today.

And I'm very worried, knowing my dad he'll do something very unexpected.

Carl and I are picking off walkers that are near the fence. Then a boy around my age ran from the forest.

"Help me! please!" he shouts. Carl runs to the gate and opens it for him.

He runs in and collapses. Probably from exhaustion.

I aim my gun at him, for safety precautions as he stands
Up.

"I'm Owen. Owen Thomas." he says looking at me then Carl.

"Lauren and Carl" I introduce myself and Carl.

"Come with me" Carl says as he walks towards the prison.

"Stay watch!" Carl shouts back.

I have him a thumbs up.

I continue to stay watch for ten minutes then Beth came down With Judy.

"Do you know when my daddy's coming' back?" She asked.

"Soon enough" I nod. I pick off a walker that was just newly re animated. When I take a closer look I realize it's my little cousin Davie, he was in Woodbury! how did this happen.

I shove a crowbar in his head and shed a few tears.

"I'm real sorry" Beth says still holding Judy. I nod and give her a small smile.

"My dad did this to warn me. I know he did" I sniffle.

Carl comes back down.

"Owen is in a locked cell, just until my dad gets back" Carl explains.

"You alright?" Carl asks

I nod I don't know if I should tell him about Davie. I don't want t worry him. He gets really hard to handle when he's angry.

Rick and them pull up to the gates. as the enter Carl runs up to the car.

"Dad there's a new boy inside, names Owen Thomas." Carl informs his dad.

Rick doesn't look to happy. I wonder why.

"Group meeting inside" Rick says speeding up to the prison.

So Beth, Carl and I make our way to the prison.

"We talked with the Governor, he says he's not going to back down. He knows Lauren and Lucas are here and he ain't happy about that. He says he will back down if we take Lucas and Lauren back to Woodbury. so we can stay and we can
Fight or we can go. We aren't bringing them back, that ain't an option, how you live and how you die that isn't up to me, I ain't your Governor. We make deductions together, we vote." Rick says before he walks off.

"This is all my fault" I look to the ground. Lucas walks up to me and hugs me.

"I'm sorry Lauren, this shouldn't have happened." I sigh and walk up to Carl.

"I'm sorry for being such a target." I say looking into his eyes.

"Don't ever be sorry" he pulls me into a warm and tight embrace. I felt safe.
