"You're bleeding, but the wound doesn't need stitches."

Aemma followed his hand and felt the wound. She winced. She hadn't even noticed that she had been injured in her fight against Hugh. Aemond gently removed her hand and she watched him soak a cloth in alcohol.

"This will hurt for a moment, but I need to disinfect the area," he told her, looking at her for a moment before holding the cloth to her wound. Aemma winced. A sharp, burning pain went through her head and she squeezed her eyes shut. She tried to pull herself together, clawed at something and sucked in a deep breath. The pain lasted for a moment until it finally subsided. As Aemond removed the cloth, she slowly opened her eyes. Aemond looked at her with a misty look and Aemma furrowed her eyebrows.

Why was he looking at her like that? 

His gaze wandered downwards and Aemma followed him, until her hand was clutched in his. Their hands were clasped together on his lap and Aemma let go in shock.

She felt uncomfortable admitting weakness in front of Aemond, but on the other hand, being close to him made her feel good. It was confusing and the wound on her head didn't make it any better.

"The maester will come to check on you later," Aemond explained. They were in his room and Aemma jumped up when she realized that Aegon was lying in her room all alone and without the necessary medicine. How could she be so irresponsible? The momentum was too much for her circulation and Aemma lost her balance. If it weren't for Aemond, she would have known the ground.

"Aegon-," she said desperately, but Aemond quickly calmed her down.

"Got the medicine."

Aemma looked at him desperately. "But I wanted to get something for him. A plant that my mom, no, I mean, Andrea-"
