Marissa twirled her hair sitting at the back of the class watching her new English teacher Mrs Butler trying to explain to the class why A Long Way Down would be a full semester read for them with no one paying attention other than everyone sitting up so she doesn't catch them sleeping or when she talks about how to operate an audiobook for said book.
Ciara turned around to see Marissa staring into space not able to text her since Mrs Butler confiscated everyone's phones to a basket on her desk She flipped through her notebook to an empty page before scribbling some words on the lines of paper before not so discretely ripping out the paper folding it tapping the girl behind her " Pass it down." She whispers with the girl nodding with the folded note being passed around to Marissa.

Marissa feels a tap on her shoulder She takes the note from the girl who turns around checking to see if Mrs. Butler is looking which she isn't due to her writing on the board that no one is paying attention to looking down at the folded letter unfolding it to see it reads ' Are you just as bored as me? Wanna meet after school?' Clicking her pen scribbling on it tapping the girl in front of her handing the folded letter to her.
Writing down chapters 1-5 to read tonight in her notebook Ciara gets a tap on her shoulder and grabs the folded letter from the girl in front of her She looks up to check if Ms. Butler is looking at her but sees Ms. Butler isn't at her desk with the board saying check out a long way down either in the library or order it on Forestry.com for 5 dollars .
looking back down at the letter unfolding it reading it ' Can't I'm going to be working after school with the journalism media team but if you need me I'll be in the darkroom.'
